Set in one of the Loire's most sought after regions, being a UNESCO area of outstanding beauty,  La Rue Vaslin comprises a lovely arrangement of three individual one-bedroom gites. Each one of our gites is beautifully furnished and extremely well appointed, reflecting our values as the owners to provide quality accommodaton, without compromise, right in the heart of the Loire Valley.

With magnificent views reaching out across the countryside, each gite has the benefit of its own private garden as well as the use of the communal grounds which includes a superb 11 x 5m pool (heated in the cooler months) with south facing sun terrace, and a well equipped games barn.

Within easy access to the many vineyards, glorious chateaux, and charming villages for which the region is famed, La Rue Vaslin provides an ideal retreat for those wanting to explore this glorious and historic region of France .... or to simply relax and do nothing!

Accommodation detail

L'Ecurie is one of three beautifully presented one-bedroom gites at La Rue Vaslin. Originally the old stable house, it is a ground floor gite which benefits from having access from the front and rear of the charming tuffeau-stone walled property.

Accommodation comprises:

• Living room - beautifully furnished and featuring UK Satellite TV (flat screen LCD television) DVD/CD
• Kitchen - very well equipped with a built-in dining area
• Double bedroom - black iron bed and a large wardrobe with the room looking out onto its private garden
• Sofa Bed - a double sofa bed in the living room is suitable for sleeping a further two guests.
• Seperate shower room/WC
• There is also a laundry room with washing machine and drying facilities (free of charge)

Located about 2km from shops and restaurants, L'Ecurie enjoys a tranquil setting and has the benefit of its own private garden as well as the use of large communal grounds and a wonderful heated 11x5m swimming pool with fabulous sun terrace. 

Bikes, Table Tennis, boules and a selection of games and books are available for guests' use.

About the location

Our gites at La Rue Vaslin border the popular and sought after regions of Maine et Loire and Indre Loire being right in the very heart of the Loire Valley where UNESCO claimed it as a world heritage region of 'outstanding beauty'.

Situated 2km between the villages of Parcay les Pins and Gizeaux our gites are an easy 10 minute cycle ride, or 30 minute walk by road, 20 minute via woodland route, to local bars, restaurants and village shops. 

The fashionable town of Saumur on banks of the river Loire is just 35km away where fabulous restaurants, bars, shopping,  wine caves, the famous Cadre Noire and equestrian centre, and of the course the beautiful and imposing chateaux, give reason as to why this historic town is so popular.

Set in an idyllic and tranquil setting, our gites are ideally located to visit the many popular chateaux and vineyards for which the region is famed and are within easy access of many delightful French villages and thriving market towns.

• La Rue Vaslin is a pleasant 5 hour drive from Calais. 
• Tours is the nearest airport which is 40 minutes by car.

Other	Outside, there is a lovely 12 x 6m pool with a large south facing sun terrace.  As well as your own private garden, there are good communal grounds and an outdoor table tennis table and boules. Bikes are available for guests' use which provide a perfect way to visit the local boulangerie, enjoy a few glass of the local wine at a nearby bar, or to explore this beautiful area.

Additional price information

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR CALENDAR IS DEFAULTED TO SHOW FULL AVAILABILITY BECAUSE WE MAY BE ABLE TO OFFER ALTERNATIVE GITES SHOULD L'ECURIE BE BOOKED FOR THE DATES YOU ARE INTERESTED.

• Prices quoted are based on two people (a couple). There is a supplement charge of £30 for the use of the sofa/futon bed. This is purely to cover the additional laundry and cleaning costs.
• During June, July and August, rental prices are based on a full week. Off peak, L'Ecurie can be booked on a night/day rate, based on £150 for the first night, and £50 per night thereafter. Minimum of three nights. 
• Departure and interim cleans are available at an additional cost 
• Fresh linen can be provided for a mid-stay change of bedding at an additional cost
• We encourage enquirers to contact us directly by email or phone and on receiving an enquiry between the hours of 8am - 10pm we aim to respond within one hour.
