If fishing on the rivers Creuse, Claise & Vienne is your thing then just ask the owner Martin. He organises Fishing trips for people who do not wnat to hire the gite also!!

He can provide Licences, hot spots on the rivers, boats, life jackets, bait and all the stuff you normally need. Just give Martin a call for the packages & prices offered and he will be happy to help!!

This traditional French Stone House has been carefully restored and converted for comfortable modern living. Many of the original features still remain such as the beamed ceilings, log burning fires and charming little nooks and crannies. It sleeps 6/8 people and a baby comfortably (travel cot provided & high chair).

Ground floor

• Kitchen - There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas oven/cooker and seperate gas/electric hob. Fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and kitchen table and chairs
• Dining room - is next to the kitchen with a beamed ceiling, log buring fire, large 8 seater table and high chair. This leads to the terrace for those evenings of alfresco dining
• Lounge - with its beamed ceilings and log burning fire makes for a cozy winter retreat but also is beautifully cool in the summer too. There are 2 sofas and 2 chairs, coffee table, Freeview  TV, DVD, Hi-Fi, books and games.  There is a telephone and cards can be bought at the Tabac/Presse in the village.
• Bedroom 1 - with king size bed, wardrobe and drawers.
• Family bathroom - large room with bath, shower and double sinks
• Separate toilet

First floor

• Bedroom 2 - with double bed, drawers, dressing table and clothes rail

Outside

The private back garden with it's trees provides a welcome shade from the heat of the day and there is a large terrace too. There are swings, tables, chairs and sun loungers and gas barbecue. There is an above ground wooden swimming pool 5m by 3m and 1.20m deep.

About the location

The house is in a rural setting but only 5 mins from the nearest village. The village has 2 good restaurants, 2 bars, bakers, butchers, grocers and newsagents that sell English newspapers and there is a market every Thursday. Nearby is an excellent Michelin Star Restaurant and several other beautiful villages with restaurants 10 mins drive away.

An hour away is the beautiful city of Tour with its fantastic history and architecture and of course its shopping. One of the best theme parks in Europe "Futuroscope" is less than an hour away and there are several great attractions such as "Beauval Zoo", Safari Park, Monkey Valley and more.

How to get here

• Local airports Tours and Poitiers are only an hour from the property with cheap car hire at both airports.
• It is three and half hours from the port of Caen and about six  hours from Calais.
