About the location

A 10 minute drive takes you to a century's old village with restaurants, shops, supermarket, banks, bakeries, post office, veterinarian, and pharmacy. There is a weekly open-air market offering farm fresh fruits and vegetables, charcuterie, clothing, and handmade household items.

For those who enjoy a taste of city life, Sainte-Foy-la-Grande and Bergerac with its bustling old town are within a half hour drive.  Other small villages nearby include Monségur, Monpazier, Monteton, Miramont, and Marmande. All of these offer specialty boutiques, restaurants, cinemas, and shopping.
Further afield but still within easy reach are the châteaux of Beynac, Miland, Castelnaud, and Biron.

A day trip will take you to several prehistoric sites and museums including Lascaux and Les Eyzies, and should not be missed.
