Overlooking the beautiful 770 acre Lac de Chambon from its large shaded terrace with its own direct access, Les Chênes offers the perfect self-catering French country holiday. 

The beds, table and kitchen are all hand-made in oak. 

An hour's drive from Limoges airport and closer to Calais than the Dordogne, whatever you are looking for in a French country holiday you cannot beat Les Chênes.

The property sleeps eight in the comfort of bespoke, hand-made oak beds. 

There is an internet connection and colour satellite flat screen television with DVD player.

The large shaded terrace overlooks the lake. 

About the location

Les Chenes overlooks the 770 acre Lac de Chambon.  The beach, plage de Fougere, is a 10 minute walk, and has a couple of bar/restaurants.  The smaller plage de Bonnu is 3 km. The local town with all necessary amenities is 10 minutes by car.  The market town of Argenton-sur-Creuse is 20 minutes away.

How to get here

The property is situated 15mins from the A20, the motorway running between Paris and Limoges.  We are roughly 2 1/2 hours south of Paris.  Argenton-sur-Creuse has the nearest train station.  Travel time from Paris Austerlitz is also 2 1/2 hours.  The nearest airport is Limoges.
