Le Flouzet's two spacious, fully equipped ground floor gites are situated one kilometre outside Vasles (Mouton Village) in a very peaceful countryside setting.

We are disabled friendly and welcome well behaved dogs.

Our flexible accomodation can be let as either one large or two smaller properties.

Le Flouzet Cottage is spacious, comfortable, friendly and relaxed. Well behaved pets welcome. The accommodation is disabled friendly.

The cottage can be divided into 2 separate units one for 2 - 4 persons (bathroom with walk-in shower) & one for up to 7 persons.  The rental prices are  for each unit.

Outside

Private garden within owners large (approx 1 acre) garden. There is parking and beautiful countryside.

About the location

We are situated about 1 kilometre out of Vasles. Vasles is a typical small market town with two restaurants, bar, boulangerie, butcher, bank and small supermarket. There are two golf courses nearby and Mouton Village is a sheep Visitor's Centre - particularily good for young children.

Vasles is between the historic medieval town of Parthenay of Knights Templar fame, and the ancient city of Poitiers. Poitiers Airport;  Ryanair from London, Stansted  year-round, and Birmingham and Edinburgh from April through September, is 40 minutes drive away.  La Rochelle is just over an hour and served by Ryanair from Dublin;  Easyjet from Gatwick and Bristol;  Flybe from Southampton, Birmingham, Manchester and Glasgow,  and Jet2 from Edinburgh and Leeds.

We are strategically situated to visit the coast at La Rochelle, the "Venise Vert"; Futuroscope (Poitiers); Saumur (home to the famous "Cadre Noir" Army Horses) and  the Loire Valley. The Cognac Region is within driving distance too.

How to get here

Our nearest airport is Poitiers (40 minutes drive). La Rochelle and Nantes airports are approx. 90 minutes drive.

For rail travelers, Paris is very accessable and the TGV train goes from Paris to Poitiers (taking aprox 90mins) where one can hire a car to complete the journey.

For road travelers, the ferry port of St Malo is the closest but all are easily accessed with the excellent motorway system.

From Poitiers, take the Parthenay road and follow the signs to Mouton Village.

 We also offer airport or train station pickup and can provide transport to the shops and sight-seeing trips for those that don't like driving on the 'wrong side' of the road!
