This modern villa is located in a quiet road in Jard Sur Mer town centre within easy walking distance of the shops, restaurants, beaches and leisure port.  It is built in a totally enclosed walled garden which used to form part of a traditional French estate.

The villa has been constructed using lots of wood for an authentic French quality whilst still benefiting from modern comforts including:

  • Kitchen is fully fitted, including full size electric cooker, microwave, dish washer, washing machine and fridge/freezer
  • Dining area with table and eight chairs
  • Lounge area with three piece suite including double bed settee and hi-fi system
  • Bedroom one above lounge with double bed and pine furniture
  • Bedroom two with twin beds and fitted wardrobe
  • Bedroom three with twin beds and fitted wardrobe
  • Bathroom with separate shower cabinet

About Jard Sur Mer in Vendée, Pays de La Loire

This modern villa is located in a quiet road about 100 metres from the main street in the town centre of the small resort of Jard Sur Mer which has four fine golden sandy beaches and its 'blue flag' clean water bathing.  It is a short walk to the shops, restaurants, beaches and leisure port.  The largest market in the area is held each Monday in the town centre of Jard.  There is a large supermarket about five minutes drive away. 

The larger resorts of Les Sables d'Olonne and La Tranche Sur Mer are within a short drive.  There are many places to go for day excursions including La Rochelle, Il de Re, Nantes, La Roche Sur Yon.

How To Get To Jard Sur Mer in Vendée, North West France

The property is about two and a half hours driving time from the western Channel port of St. Malo or four and a half hours driving time from Caen or Cherbourg. If you prefer to fly the the property is about a one hour drive from the airports at Nantes or La Rochelle.

The property is clean, tidy and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The house is also well located for shops and beach.

Although we already knew the house and village well, this was the first time we have stayed there.

The property is beautifully maintained and prepared for visitors; although our party was only four strong (and a small dog), it is very fully equipped for six people in beds plus two large settees, with every "mod con" a large holiday party would ever need, from washing up machine to children's toys. The written instructions provided were comprehensive and easily understood and the local information left in the house was almost too compete!

The house is very well positioned close to the centre of the village with easy access to local shops and facilities and within easy walking distance of the beaches and port.

We and our friends throughly recommend a stay here in Jard sur Mer

The property is extremely well equipped, whatever you think you need is there. It is very clean, spacious and comfortable. when it is cold outside it is quick and easy to make cosy. There is plenty of room for everyone and for storing goods to bring home. It is an ideal gite.

We return to this gite every year since 2000 because it is so good, the owner is always extremely helpful and the beaches nearby are brilliant.

the property is within easy walking distance of the bakers, ideal for breakfast. the shops and restaurants in the surrounding area are excellent.
