Home description

Marie-Louise Cottage is a beautifully restored detached stone farmers cottage, dated 1800's. It is situated in the quiet hamlet of Spezet in rich countryside, in a peaceful location, but close to all local amenities.

The cottage has a lawned garden area and gravel patio area, with garden furniture and suitable for a large family, with lots of sleeping combinations.

Included are the free use of 2 adult bicycles for your leisure.

Child seat can be supplied for attaching to rear of bike (free of charge on request)

New for 2009  

Free use of two man and two small children kayak with paddles and standard size life jackets, and securing straps for attaching to roof rack (max 3 days use per week booked).  (Roof rack not supplied).

Damage deposit of 150euros on delivery, and returned on collection of kayak.

Marie-Louise Cottage comprises:

• Kitchen - fully fitted and equipped with microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, dining table and chairs.
• Dining area - with  table and chairs
• Lounge - there is a large 30ft light and airy lounge area with comfortable three piece suite, and sofa bed, games table and seating area. There is UK satellite TV, and a large log fire and patio doors leading out onto the garden area
• Bedroom 1 - with private inner staircase, large room with beamed ceiling, velux window, and picture patio door, leading out onto exterior steps into the garden. one double 4ft 6ins bed with double quilt
• Bedroom 2 - large room with beamed ceiling and velux window with king size bed with king size quilt and one single bed with single quilt.
• Bedroom 3 - medium room with beamed ceiling and velux window, with two single beds with single quilts
• Bathroom - family size room with w/c sink and shower cubicle

About the location

Marie-Louise Cottage is situated within a short distance from Spezet village, with its boulangeries and patisseries for your fresh bread and pastries. There are numerous bars and tabacs and restaurants a butchers and fishmongery.

Gourin is just 8 miles away with market day on a monday, supermarkets restaurants shops etc, and outdoor swimming pool. Carhaix is just 8 miles away with market day on a Saturday, selling fresh fish, fruit and vegetables, and plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from.

Most coasts are within 40 minutes, which is an ideal location to explore the whole of Brittany. There are many historic buildings, churches, and museums in the surrounding area, with plenty of culture and charm, and tourist attractions within easy access.
