Set amidst vineyards, Medieval villages and beautiful countryside Le Roc is in an enviable postion to survey and absorb the stunning local scenery. The nearby oak forest of Gresigne (35 square km) , rolling hills of vines, and sunflowers provide a veritable tapestry of colour and texture all year long. Explore the local area on foot, by car, horse or bike.

Come and enjoy comfort and tranquillity  with little need to do anything if you simply want to get away from the stress of busy life, however there is much to do for the sports enthusiasts, historians, artists and bonnes viveurs.

A leisurely walk from Le Roc is the quaint 13th century bastide village of Castelnau de Montmiral, with its impressive medieval arcaded square, here one can enjoy a stroll, a meal or an apperitif and simply watch the world go by. It`s colourful weekly market is a feast for the eyes as well as the stomach !

The owners Sarah and Richard live here all year round in any 1 of the 3 properties and would be delighted to welcome you to "Le Roc" to experience their little bit of  heaven.

The Farmhouse is a large white stone Maison de Maitre, traditionally furnished in classic French style, with armoires, bateaux lits beds etc.

The Farmhouse has plenty of private outside space: a large sheltered courtyard for dining, barbecuing and relaxing, an additional covered outside dining room - full of curios, leading onto a beautiful decking terrace with spectacular views over the rolling countryside - a perfect place to observe the setting sun ! A further garden to the rear of the property is lawned and with a loggia to sit in the shade and enjoy yet more panoramic scenery.

About the location

Set on a hillside within 46 acres of spectacular scenery, overlooking the valley of the river Vere and the forest of Gresigne. Situated just outside the village of Castelnau de Montmiral, (20 mins walk) which has 2 restaurants, a Bakery, Patisserie, Post Office, Town Hall, Tourist Information, General Stores, Herbalist/Pharmacy and a charming weekly market. 

Ideally placed to enjoy easy access to the bastide villages of Castelnau de Montmiral, Cordes Sur Ciel, Penne, Puycelsi & Bruniquel. Set in a peaceful and tranquil rural environment with a wealth of glorious colourful markets present on different days of the week for those who enjoy the experience of fresh produce, crafts and local life.

Town and city culture is close by for shops, supermarkets, restaurants, markets and museums, with the extensive wine growing area of Gaillac and it`s Medieval Abbey 10 mins, Albi 25mins, with the Toulouse Lautrec museum and impressive Cathedral and covered market, Castres with Goya museum and colourful painted tanners houses 1 hour and Toulouse centre with theatre, smart shops, restaurants and churches and Toulouse airport 1 hour.
