Le Plessis Gerbault is a comfortable Manor sitted in a vineyard property where you can have pleasure in the pool, in the park and tasting its proper wine.

In the heart of the Loire Valley, you will go and visit lots of chateaux, gardens and wine caves as well as have lovely dinner in our best restaurants.

Chinon is a medieval town, which lies on the banks of the Vienne, crowned by an old fortress chateau towering high above it.

The center of the town has many lovely old houses, particularly around the rue Voltaire and the Place du Grand Carroi, which has associations with such historical figures as Richard Coeur de Lion and Joan of Arc, who stayed at the inn here while waiting to be received by the king.

The poet Rabelais spent his early years here, which inspired several of his poems.

When getting into the Castel, you will find:

• Large living/dining room - with a huge carved fire place and a comfortable sofa. A TV and an Hi Fi system are setting for you in a corner, a wooden table and 2 big buffets are in the dining room side.
• Kitchen - well equiped with all facilities.
• Separate toilet is beside the kitchen.

First floor:

• Bedroom one - has double bed and a single bed
• Bedroom two - has twin beds
• Bathroom one - has a bath and a shower
• A separate toilet

Second floor:

• Bedroom three - has double bed
• Bathroom two - has a shower

Outside

• A barbecue and garden furniture are waiting for you.
• A private pool  will cool you down when it is so hot.

About the location

Le Castel du Plessis Gerbault is at about 2km from Chinon city, lovely medieval town where you will find all you need: supermarkets, shops, decorations boutique and very nice restaurants. We will give you a list on your arrival. The best restaurant of Indre-et-Loire is here at Chinon!

The old town of Chinon is very interesting by its charming ancient houses which give a kind of medieval feeling most appreciated by visitors.

The chateau is towering the old town as a fortress.

Every Thursday and Sunday morning, a typical market takes place in townhall place.

A lot of wine growers will welcome you in their caves and will taste their wine with you.

How to get here

At 250km from Paris and 50km from Tours where there is an airport and the TGV station.

Coming from Paris, you will drive on the highway to go to Tours where you will go out on direction to Chinon. Then we will give you direction and a map to get to the Castel easily.
