Beautiful French Manoir with Restaurant, Heated Pool and Hot Tub

Le Vieux Manoir is a 17th century Manoir which has been tastefully restored and renovated into four holiday apartments and a three bedroom gite. The complex is set in an acre of land close to the beautiful Normandy Maine National Park. The holiday haven has been designed with families, groups and couples in mind to ensure that all that visit Le Vieux Manoir have an enjoyable and memorable holiday and return again year after year.

Le Vieux Manoir offers you the holiday of freedom and choice. You can stay in one of our apartments or gite and use the accommodation as a base to return to after spending your days exploring this beautiful area of France. You may wish to cook for yourself some evenings or perhaps you would prefer to dine in our restaurant and sample some typical French cuisine. You may wish to take advantage of the on site leisure facilities or you may just want to relax in the garden or by the lake with a good book and a glass of wine.

Le Vieux Manoir is the place to visit if you are looking for a self catering retreat in France which also offers the benefits of an on site restaurant and the opporunity to meet other guests which is great for families with children as there are lots of friends to be made.

Holiday Accommodation at Gite Apartment 1

A beautiful one bedroom self contained apartment.

This ground floor Manoir apartment is airy and light with high ceilings and large sash windows that overlook the beautiful grounds and countryside. There is an open fireplace which you can curl in front of during the winter season and during the summer it is filled with candles to make the room twinkle.

All of the apartments are unique and have their own idiosyncrasies. In gite apartment 1 we have a hiding place in the lounge which has been converted into a sleeping area for children. It has bunk beds with high sides on the top bunk and a little area for lights and toys to be stored.

• Lounge - has been equipped with an entertainment area which is recessed into the wall and includes a flat screen television, DVD player and CD player. At Le Vieux Manoir we have a number of DVD’s and CD’s that you can borrow from the main library area for you to watch and enjoy in your apartment. Contains a hidden sleeping area for children.
• Kitchen/dining area - we have placed a dining suite in front of the large window so that you can enjoy your meals in the sun while taking in the beautiful view. The kitchen is fully equipped with designer crockery, glassware, cutlery and kitchen utensils. Appliances include a cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle.
• Double bedroom - a lovely room with large sash windows offering you an idyllic view over the fields and countryside.
• Bathroom - has a toilet, shower and wash basin.

About Le Ham in Mayenne, Pays de La Loire

Le Vieux Manoir is situated in a pretty little village called Le Ham in the department of Mayenne, Pays de la Loire. Le Ham is a beautifully kept little village with many of its inhabitants competing each year to win the floral village award. Le Ham has a little Tabac called 'Nelly's' which is lovely local French bar that serves an excellent 5 course traditional French lunch for 11 Euros.

The village is situated on the edge of the Normandy Maine National Park with its array of wildlife, lakes and walking routes. Le Ham is only 7kms from the nearest towns which host the typical French shops and supermarkets. There is a local boulangarie 2kms away which is perfect in the morning to collect your hot croissants and baguettes.

How To Get To Le Ham in Mayenne, North West France

There are many different options for your journey to Le Vieux Manoir,

You may wish to bring your car on the ferry to France or perhaps you would like to fly to one of our airports and  hire a car for your onward journey to Le Vieux Mnaoir.

Alternatively you may like to take the TGV to Paris and spend some time in France’s beautiful Capital City before you make the second half of the journey to Laval. At Laval you can hire a car to reach Le Ham.
