Le Bourg is set in 2 acres of grounds overlooking the beautiful Lizonne Valley, on the edge of the village of St. Paul Lizonne with it's historic frescoed church, part of the Circuit Roman.

Enjoy the piercing blue skies and the spectacular sunsets which you will always remember, from the enclosed balcony and patio's.

Lounge by the heated pool or under the trees in the orchard. Gather fruit from the trees in season, or on the upper terrace relax with the sound of the gently flowing fountain or have some sport fishing for trout or carp in the private fishing lake 

B&B Chambre d'hote including continental breakfast in all suites, Self Catering in the Family Apartment including the large fully fitted kitchen.  Lunch, snacks and evening meals with the family available if required with regional specialities

About the location

Le Bourg is set in 2 acres of grounds overlooking the beautiful Lizonne Valley, on the edge of the village of St. Paul Lizonne with it's historic frescoed church, part of the Circuit Roman.

A French restaurant and English owned Hotel are in the village.
There are many local attractions including prehistoric caves, chateaux, mini golf course in the village, and many local festivals and markets.

Nearby are the splendours of Brantome, Aubeterre, Cognac and Bergerac.

An ideal base for property hunting, touring, overnight en-route to Spain, or a relaxing holiday.

How to get here

All airport pickups can be arranged

From Angouleme:

Follow the signs to Perigueux and turn right in Rochebeaucourt towards Verteillac. Turn right as you reach the market square in Verteillac and then immediately left where St Paul Lizonne is signposted.

From Bordeaux (Merignac Airport):

Follow the ring road (the airport is next to it) to the Libourne exit. Either direction on the ring road is equidistant but go anti clockwise at peak times to avoid the Aquitaine Bridge. Stay on the motorway through the toll booth and take the first exit – St Denis de Pile (toll 1 Euro) and at the roundabout take the 2nd exit (straight over) through the village of Les Billaux and then turn left onto the road to Coutras. From Coutras onto La Roche Chalais, St Aulaye, Left to Aubeterre and then to St Severin. Turn right into St Severin and got through the village past Spar on the left. Carry on down the hill and over the bridge marking the Dordogne boundary. Turn left opposite Bar Douane past the mini golf and then the next left sign posted St Paul Lizonne.

From Bergerac Airport:

After leaving the airport turn right into the town and follow the signs to Mussidan then to Riberac. Go through the town of Riberac following the Angouleme signs. At the 2nd roundabout take the 3rd exit sigh posted St Severin and Allemans. After about 6 miles there is a petrol station and Bar a la Douane on your left and Mini Golf on your right.

From Calais and Boulogne:

1. Via Paris – go the Paris and then round the peripherique to A10 exit to Orleans. Follow A10 through Tours to Poitiers ad then N10 to Angouleme

2. Avoiding Paris – go to Rouen and then the new A28 to Tours

Driving time for both routes is around 8 hours and the distance about 500 miles

The family apartment, with its private entrance and patio area provides accomodation with double bed, bunk beds, comfortable seating and library area with a TV, DVD and internet access. There is ample space for an additional single bed if required. The family size en-suite has a large walk in shower, WC, bidet, and washbasin.  The apartment includes use of the large dining kitchen, this would be at the inclusive self catering rate of from £350 per week. Limited wheelchair access available, please request further information. An additional double en-suite room may be added from £250 per week to provide for a family unit of 4 adults and up to 3 children.
