Well Located Luxury Villa with Pool and Stunning Sea Views
A charming 150 year old villa, totally refurbished in a modern elegant style. This extremely spacious accommodation is light and airy for 10 people with facilities to match. Located within a short walk of an unspoilt medieval village. It has a shaded barbecue and patio area, pool, gardens and outstanding views of the coast and sea stretching from Nice to the Estoril. This is a STAR choice according to our customers! Ideal for family gatherings and reunions for friends from all over the world and so convenient to the village!
Located where the Alps meet the Mediterranean with views of both and only a short drive from Nice airport.
The Villa is situated within a flat five minute walk along a mainly pedestrian road of Tourrettes sur Loup. Tourrettes, (cite des violets), is a medieval village perched on rock with dramatic views of the countryside down to the sea. There are shops, galleries, bars and restaurants as well as butchers, greengrocers and a bakery which is a 7 minutes walk. Tourism has not submerged the local character of the village and the square bustles with activity including almost continuous boules games and the ‘clink’ of glasses at lunchtime at the wine bar and cafes..
For those that prefer to forget their cars for the holiday the location is ideal being within walking distance of all the facilities of the village. On the other hand Vence is only 7kms away and has the facilities of a thriving town together with excellent restaurants, convenient parking, and two good supermarkets.
Nice airport is a quick and easy 18 kms; beaches are within 14 kms: golf at 15, 20 and 22kms, riding at 3 kms, and tennis courts within 500 metres. Excellent ski resorts are 40 kms on good roads.
Holiday Accommodation at Villa La Perception
Villa La Perception is a spacious 240m² villa, beautifully furnished with a large garden and terraces. The south facing house is in excellent condition throughout and has just been sympathetically refurbished to a high standard.
The house was originally the local tax collectors office for Tourrettes and dates back to around 1850. There are stunning views of the Cote d’Azur from nearly every window in the house stretching from Nice to the Estoril. There is an ample sized shaded outside eating area with large barbeque and summer kitchen. The swimming pool is non chlorinated, 11x4m with an outdoor shower and sun loungers. Parking facilities for at least 4 cars.
Ground floor
110m² with full under-floor heating
- Large modern open plan kitchen/dining room - with French doors onto the front overlooking the terrace and swimming pool. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, cooking range, large fridge with ice maker, microwave, expresso machine, toaster, electric kettle together with dining table and chairs. French doors to the side overlooking the patio.
- Patio Area - the south-facing terrace has a mosaic table and chairs under a huge plane tree that gives ample shading in the summer. There is also a large barbecue with rotisserie, a sink and a food preparation area. A great spot for lunchtime and evening dinners with stunning views over wooded tills to the sea. A great position for aperitives before dinner.
- Snug - is used as the television room and has a huge chimney with traditional French Godin wood burning stove.
- Cloakroom - complete with hand basin and WC.
- Spacious Lounge - with elegant leather sofas and a modern Danish wood burning stove. Patio doors open out onto terraces above the swimming pool. Off the lounge is a small office area equipped with telephone and ADSL broadband. There is also a utility room with washer, spin dryer and a bottle fridge.
First Floor

- First bedroom - with king size bed and ensuite bathroom with large shower, vanity basin, heated towel rail and WC. Both these rooms have views over forests to the sea.
- Second bedroom - with king size bed. There are French windows with Juliet balcony and stunning views to the sea. Room for a cot. There is an ensuite bathroom with cast iron bath, heated towel rail and separate shower. There is also a separate WC. Plenty of wardrobe space.
- Third and fourth bedrooms - each bedroom has 2 single beds that can also be used as doubles. These bedrooms share a family bathroom with bath, shower over, hand basin, WC and electric towel rail.
Second floor
20m²
- Fifth bedroom - with cathedral ceiling, exposed beams and a king size bed. There are stunning views of the coast and the Estoril.
- En suite bathroom - with large shower, large vanity basin, electric towel rail and WC.
- Large wardrobe
All bedrooms are equipped with bedside tables, chest of drawers, wardrobe and electric radiators.
Facilities
Separate utility room equipped with washing machine, drier and drinks fridge.
- Swimming Pool - the swimming pool measures 11 x 4 metres and is 2.0 metres at the deep end. There is an integral very young children’s pool that is 50cms deep. The pool is fitted with an automatic cleaner and electronic ioniser, which is much gentler on the skin than chlorine. It is maintained weekly (Friday) by our gardener. There are sun loungers for use by the pool.
- Gardens - the gardens of approximately 3,000 sq m have many fruit and olive trees.
- Car Parking - with ample parking for at least 4 cars

Exceptional situation for this Incredibly sunny, spacious property within 5 minutes walking distance of Tourrettes sur Loup, a very attractive medieval village perched on rock with cobbled streets. Spectacular sea views from all the south facing windows over forests down to the sea. Enough shops including butchers, bakers, greengrocers, restaurants, wine bar, cafes, ice cream parlour to make it difficult to drag yourself away. All amenities are within walking distance with tennis courts at 500 metres.
Vence and St Paul de Vence are within 8 kms. Nice airport is 14 kms, beaches are within 14 kms, over 10 golf courses in the region from 15 kms. There is riding at 3 kms and tennis courts at 500 metres. Excellent ski resorts are around 40 kms on good roads.

- Cleaning and laundry are included in all prices.
- During low season electricity will be metered and deducted from the security deposit (an amount of £500 or 700 Euros, in case of breakages or damage) from October to May.
- Extra cleaning or maid service or French chef can be organised during your stay. The chef will also hold cookery courses at La Perception. Babysitting also available. Please contact the owners to discuss your requirements.
NB. Ten hours cleaning is factored into the normal rental period. While this is normally sufficient any extra necessary cleaning over and above this will be deducted from your security deposit.
