Situated in the Correze, the southern department of the Limousin region, our quality holiday villas offer the ideal location from which you can simply relax by the pool or discover this beautiful part of South West France. We are an hour away from the best known attractions of the Dordogne while being only a short drive away from some of the undiscovered gems of the Correze.

The Villas de Leypinas are part of an old farm, parts of which date back to the 18th century. Situated on the edge of the very small hamlet of Leypinas each villa has been tastefully created from the existing buildings and all offer views across the wonderful Correzien countryside. The rural setting ensures a quiet and peaceful environment for your stay. Two of our villas are converted from what was the old pig sty. The previous owners of the farm (the family first bought the farm in the 1830’s) would raise a pig for themselves and a number for their neighbours and friends on the ground floor whilst using the first floor for storage of food and grain. Our third villa has been created in a building which houses a working bread oven on the ground floor; the first floor was home to the farm’s chickens.

All three villas have been created to offer a high standard of self catering accommodation complete with modern facilities and original charm. The oak beams which form the heart of our villas have been lovingly restored and give each room a unique character.

All our villas have use of the 12m x 5m salt-chlorinated swimming pool and access to a selection of books, DVDs, games and tourist information from our new reception area; there are also bikes and pool towels for hire. Central heating to all buildings is availble during the winter months at no extra cost. Each villa has its own patio area complete with garden furniture and barbecue.

The owners are on site to offer advice on day trips, booking restaurants and house hunting if required.

Accommodation detail

Le Four a Pain is a detached building that was once home to the farm's chickens. The building has been totally renovated whilst keeping all the original features including the bread oven on the ground floor and all the lovely oak timbers. 

• Spacious living/dining area with wood burning stove, the original bread oven and impressive oak ceiling.
• Fitted kitchen with everything you'll need for a short or long stay.
• Large bedroom with a double bed and planty of room for an extra single bed or cot if required.

Outside

Private terrace with garden furniture and barbeque overlooking the gardens and countryside.

Smoking is not permitted inside the villa.

About the location

The Villas de Leypinas are located in the western area of the Correze, the southern department of the Limousin region. Surrounded by wonderful countryside we are ideally placed for a quiet, relaxing holiday or as a base for sightseeing and other activities.

There are numerous picturesque villages nearby including some which are classified as France's 'most beautiful'. The popular equestrian town of Pompadour with its magnificent chateau and impressive racecourse is an 8km drive away. Our closest town with all facilities, including supermarket, banks, bars and restaurants, is Lubersac a 6km drive or bike ride.

There is a fishing lake in the small village of Saint Pardoux Corbier, less than a 1.5km walk away. During the months of July and August this small village hosts a weekly local producers market where visitors can buy regional specialities then cook (on communal barbeques) and eat their purchases while enjoying live music.

The popular tourist attractions of the Dordogne are approximately an hour away from your villa whilst the towns of Brive and Limoges are half an hour away and both offer good shopping opportunities.

How to get here

Villas de Leypinas is a ten minute drive from the A20 motorway which runs north-south through the Correze.

Channel ports: between 7 and 8 hours, we have directions which avoid Paris; tolls are about 19 Euros on this route.

Airport: the closest airport is north of Limoges and is a straightforward drive of less than an hour. Car hire is available.

Train: there are mainline stations at both Brive and Limoges.
