Attractive Villa in the Lot Valley with Private Pool

This traditional style villa is set in one and a half acres of woodland and in a quiet and secluded area whilst at the same time being close to all amenities. The walled pool area enjoys full sun throughout the day. It is completely secluded and is bordered by a mediterranean garden.   Trees provide shady nooks when you have had enough sun. A terrace next to the house contains a built-in barbecue and table and chairs for al fresco meals. The house has been completely refurbished to a high standard and is equipped with everything needed for a relaxed and stress free holiday. We are particularly proud of the following recent quote from our visitors book - '... the best accommodation we have found in eleven years of rental holidays in France'.

The Lot Valley, situated just south of the Dordogne, is in the very heart of the Cahors AOC vignoble providing ample opportunity to discover these popular and distinctive wines. The area is littered with pretty villages and places of interest including may historic bastides and chateaux.

Holiday Accommodation at Les Genevriers

The accommodation comprises:

• Kitchen - contains all modern conveniences, including microwave, dishwasher, electric eye level oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer and utensils and crockery for up to 10 people.
• Utility room - contains a sink unit with worktop, washing machine and drying and ironing facilities, There are tea/coffee making facilities and plastic glasses for use by the pool side.  
• Living/dining area - large room which contains a large 4 seater sofa and three armchairs, TV, VCR, DVD, Hi-Fi unit and English satellite TV. The furnishings are completed with occasional tables, table lamps and a large bookcase containing a wide selection of books. The dining table can seat eight people in comfort.
• Bedroom 1 - with a double bed and washbasin
• Bedroom 2 - with a double bed
• Bedroom 3 - with two single beds
• Bathroom - contains a w.c., washbasin, bath and separate shower cubicle.
• Separate w.c. - next door to the bathroom.
• Shower room - with w.c. and handbasin is situated next to the pool room.

 The property is protected by smoke and carbon monoxide alarms.

Outside

The living area leads out to the terrace with a barbecue, table and chairs for six and four upholstered deck chairs.

Leading from the utility room is a large pool room giving access to the pool area which contains a table and six chairs and four sun-beds.

About Castelfranc in Lot, Midi Pyrenees

The villa is located 1km from the village of Castelfranc, an attractive bastide on the banks of the river Lot, containing two restaurants and a bakery. The village was founded in the 13th Century and has an interesting and ancient church. The lovely little town of Prayssac is just 4kms from the villa and has a beautiful and shady square with shops, banks, cafes & bars. There are two edge-of-town supermarkets and a small cinema. There is a superb market every Friday and many other markets in nearby towns on other days of the week.

The area abounds with excellent and reasonable priced restaurants and being situated in the heart of the Cahors wine Growing region, there are dozens of vineyards available for tasting and buying the local wine.

How To Get To Castelfranc in Lot, South West France

By Air:
Bergerac Airport is 1 1/4 hours drive away and is serviced by Ryanair and Flybe airlines.

Toulouse Airport is 1 1/2 hours drive away with scheduled flights from all principal European destinations and low-cost carriers include BA, BMI, Flybe and Easyjet

By Road: 
The routes from all the channel ports are covered mostly by motorways and the journey time from Calais, for example, takes an average of eight hours.
