A Traditional 'Balet' in tuffeau stone, private village location with a bus service into Saumur - good for teenagers! In fabulous wine country and scenery with a huge amount to do, the tourist office produces a program of activities, concerts etc that makes deciding what and which to do challenging. Large grounds with a climbing frame and some bikes.

This property basically forms a street in the centre of the village. It is private, but in the middle of things. You enter through huge wooden gates, and can park under cover or a tree. There is a pigeonierre and other buildings on site, and we have a resident chicken - Georgina - who will oblige if you feed her! It is a very attractive and activity filled area of France, with an outlet village in Cholet.

Accommodation detail

This is an unusual property. It is a traditional 'ballet' attached to a large main house. The balet is spacious and quirky. It has

• Main area which gives sitting/dining and kitchen area in the traditional french style. This area leads to a lobby area leading to the stairs, bathroom and toilet. There are
• Two bedrooms - one twin and one double - dependant upon the party we can give access to another double and the sitting room of the main house.

The upstairs can be accessed both internally and externally via the stone stairs that you can see in the photographs.

Upstairs

• The twin - has two full size beds and storage.
• The double bedroom is a very comfortable size, with double bed seating and storage.
• The landing area also has a reading area and plenty of extra storage.

About the location

Located in an active village with a bus service. Local restaurants. Fabulous markets  - all information on these in the house, but the market in Thouars will not disappoint. Close to a holiday village for crazy golf etc. Riding and pony club within 1km. 6km from Le Puy Notre Dame, wine, mushroom and vintage car racing village. 10 mins from Monteuil-Bellay - again wine producing, chateau and market. Saumur 15 mins - the Loire, boating trips, tours wine, the Cadre Noir, galleries, shopping and so much more. International Karting - 15 mins. Coast about an hour and a half. This is the combination of  village location, with local melons for sale, vines and sunflowers everywhere, a vineyard within cycling distance, on the river Thouet but close to so much to do.....
