Come to La Foret Meriget and enjoy a relaxing holiday in sunflower country, laze around our luxurious 12m x 6m pool and lap up the sunshine. If you can tear yourself away from the pool, come and meet some of the animals.

Refurbished stone built character villa, set in a 15 acre smallholding. This family holiday accomodation comprises of 4 large bedrooms with countryside views. Outside are private gardens, gas barbeque and exclusive brand new luxury 12m X 6m floodlight swimming pool in the grounds.

Ground Floor:

• Kitchen: Newly fitted large kitchen with table and chairs, gas cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher.
• Large lounge: With three piece suite, coffee table, television, surround sound sytem and log burning fire.
• Large dining room: With table and chairs, large open character fireplace and Hi-fi system.
• Utility room: comprising of washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing facilities and downstairs toilet and handbasin.
• Snug room: Comprising of seating area and log burning fire, with access to garden, and stairs leading to first floor.

First floor:

All bedrooms feature exposed original beams.

• Mezzanine floor with sofa bed and internet connection
• Master bedroom: With king size bed, bedside cabinet, wardrobe. En-suite shower room with toilet and handbasin.
• Second bedroom: with double bed, bedside cabinet, wardrobe and chest of draws.
• Third bedroom: with two large single beds, wardrobe and bedside cabinet.  
• Fourth bedroom: leading off of mezzanine floor with 2 large single beds, bedside cabinet and chest of draws.
• Family Bathroom: comprising of bath, shower, toilet and handbasin.

Our smallholding is a big hit with everyone who stays, not just children. Help feed our wide range of animals and watch the spring born babies grow up.

About the location

La Foret Meriget is situated in idyllic sunflower growing countryside between the main towns of Chaunay and Sauze Vaussais, providing access to 3 weekly markets, restaurants, bars, supermarket and mini markets. The local countryside is ideal for cycling, walking, painting and exploring. Attractions in the surrounding area include, Futuroscope, Valley of the monkeys, Isle de serpents, mini zoos, the ostrich farm.

We are easy to find just a few kilometres from the N10 running between Poitiers and Angouleme. Poitiers airport is an easy 40 minute car journey away.
