This bright, attractive 2 bedroom gite is part of a traditional Normandy stone farmhouse and sleeps 6 or 7.  It is open all year for summer holidays, short breaks and longer stays. Flexible changeovers are possible in order to take advantage of any cheaper ferry crossings.

La Cavee is in a peaceful country location, approximately 60 miles from Cherbourg or Caen (just over an hour), though close to amenities and in an excellent area for sightseeing.

The Bayeux Tapestry, D-Day beaches, Mont St. Michel, the Cathedral town of Coutances, the Copper Centre of Villedieu les Poeles and the port of Granville are all within easy reach.

Beautiful sandy beaches are within a 20 minute drive.

Entrance to the light, attractively decorated ground floor of the gite is through French windows from the private garden into and open plan living area.

Ground floor

• Kitchen area - fully fitted corner kitchen includes a fridge, dishwasher, gas cooker and a microwave. There is also a washing machine in a dedicated laundry area, with an iron and ironing board.
• Living/dining area - is well equipped with comfortable seating.  British TV, Video and a CD/radio player are provided.

First floor

• Bedroom one - good sized room, containing a single and double bed
• Bathroom - bright, modern with a bath with a shower over

Second floor

• Bedroom two -  a good sized L-shaped room, containing a single and double bed

A "Z-bed" is also available.

A third bedroom with en-suite can be made available by arrangement.

Outside

• The pretty, fenced, south-facing garden includes a pond and waterfall, making it unsuitable for very young children.
• Well behaved dogs are welcome (we have a Jack Russell). We are happy to arrange for your dog to visit the local vet prior to departure to the UK.
• Garden furniture is provided together with additional garden seating and a permanent stone barbecue, for eating outside and enjoying the long summer evenings.
• Children can enjoy themselves in the play area with swings and other games. There is also an area and equipment for "Boules".
• We keep a small herd of friendly goats who will welcome any attention.

The pretty local town of Gavray is just 2 miles away, with shops, supermarkets, weekly cattle and produce markets, restaurants and bars.
