Beautifully restored 18th century stone longere, with large outdoor pool and luxury jacuzzi located in the beautiful countryside of southern Brittany. Perfectly placed for peaceful retreats or busy, exploring/activity holidays - the choice is yours!

Comfort is the main focus at La Longere with large airy bedrooms all with uninterrupted views over the pool and surrounding countryside. The rooms are beautifully furnished, with full height ceilings and exposed beams retaining the character of the building. There is an option for either a large super-king sized double bed (6ft wide) or twin bedded rooms. Quality crisp white bed linen and soft fluffy pillows ensure a good night's sleep while tvs in each room together with tea/coffee making facilties also allow the opportunity to relax in your own private space. Each room has its own superb en-suite bathroom and, of course, all towels are provided.

Beautiful countryside views surround the property. Enjoy full use of the pool and/or relax in the jacuzzi. Sit under the apple tree with a book whilst watching the horses and young foals play in the adjoining field. Simply enjoy the peace and tranquility of the countryside.

About the location

La Longère sits in an acre of unspoiled farmland just 5 mins from the village centre of Languidic. It offers the ideal retreat yet it is also perfectly placed to enjoy all the sights and activities available in southern Brittany.

Just 10 minutes drive away is the medieval market town of Hennebont with its bustling weekly market, bars and restaurants.  Just a 30 minute drive away lies the beautiful coastline of southern Brittany where beautiful sandy beaches offer the opportunity to relax, swim, surf, sand yacht, windsurf or kite surf.

Visit the Neolithic standing stones at Carnac then spend time on Carnac-Plage, a large, gently sloping beach of fine sand and one of Brittany's most modern and lively seaside resorts it provides a good choice of amenities together with colourful cafes and restaurants serving good quality, reasonably priced food. Take a trip to the beautiful medieval town of Vannes which is located just on the edge of the famous Gulfe de Morbihan (a sailing metropolis, also known for its oyster farms). Vannes also offers the opportunity to sample smart shops, bars, restaurants and lovely marina where the cafe terraces are often overflowing with alfresco diners.

The port town of Lorient is very close by, again offering a lively selection of shops, bars and restaurants. During the first two weeks of August it is well worth visiting Lorient for the annual Interceltique music festival which takes place in the town centre and which attracts many artists/musicians from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales, Spain and Brittany. The first weekend of the festival kicks off with a large parade of bands and dancers all in traditional costumes - a real fun festival!

For the golfer we are within easy reach of several good golf courses. In fact there is so much to see and do in this part of Brittany - we are ideally located to enjoy all activities!
