Home description

A  warm welcome awaits at La Vollerie, a comfortable, spacious,stone built cottage adjoining a 17th century farmhouse in a peaceful hamlet set in 4 acres of gardens, shrubberies and orchards with spectacular views of the unspoilt Normandy countryside. yet just 25 minutes from the coast.

• Lounge with french doors onto patio area, settee and chairs and oak staircase leading to first floor, well equipped kitchen and dining area.

First floor

• Bedroom one with double bed, wardrobes and dressing table
• Bedroom two with double bed and wardrobe
• Large spacious bathroom with steps up to the bath, over bath shower, wc and washbasin.

About the location

Located in a quiet hamlet just 4 miles from the market town of Percy, in a peaceful part of the Normandy countryside. Percy caters for your every need, having every kind of shop you require to make your holiday enjoyable including a very well stocked supermarket and a market every Saturday selling local produce. Because of it's location,  we benefit from being within 20-60 minutes from  major towns such as Saint  Lo, Avranches, Vire, Coutances, Granville,  Caen and Bayeux, the endless historic sites, museums, chateau's, leisure parks, and gardens, yet  just 25 minutes from the stunning  Normandy coastline with beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches and not forgetting, the magnificent Mont St Michel. Restaurants and bars can be found locally with a wider selection in the nearby larger towns. French markets are in abundance here, one of the best  being at Villedieu les Poeles every tuesday attracting large numbers of visitors every week.

How to get here

Located in the heart of the Normandy countryside in a quiet hamlet just 4 miles from the market town of Percy, yet just 8 miles from the A84 autoroute which gives easy access to Caen (50 minutes away), Le Havre and Saint Malo (1 hour 15 minutes away) ferry ports, and Rennes and Dinard airports, both just over an hour away. Cherbourg is accessible via a good road network which is traffic free. Our nearest train stations are either Villedieu les Poeles or Saint Lo.
