La Conflence is situated very close to the Navigational Confluence of 46N 0E on the edge of the village of Longre, Charente. We feel that we have extended our family Manoir to encompass another wing overlooking the lovely pool, converted into a 3/4 bedroom gite. All that we hope is that our guests that come to stay do realize that we are not a holiday complex and that they enjoy their holiday, the pool, the large secure garden and above all relax here as much as we do.

Accommodation detail

Enjoy the surroundings of our elegant 19th century building with all that it entails. From the comfortable and spacious rooms with all the modern appliances you would expect when being at home away from home.

• Kitchen / diner - large room, fully equipped including a washing machine and dishwasher. This opens onto the gite's private garden.

• Lounge - large room with a bed settee for extra accommodation. With television, DVD and Stereo.

First floor

• Bedroom 1 - is a double bedroom
• Bedroom 2 - is a triple bedroom
• Bedroom 3 - is a double bedroom
• Bathroom - large room

Second floor

• Bedroom 4 - this room is in the eaves and is an open space to use as an extra bedroom or slumber space looking through the Velux window up at the stars. 

About the location

Located near the confluence of 46N 0E on the edge of the village of Longre, Charente. There are supermarkets, restaurants and bars in all the surrounding towns.

Longre is positioned on the corner of 3 departments making visits to the nearby cities of Poitiers, Niort and Angouleme. Naturally with Cognac being only 28 miles away, visiting this historic city is worth the day out. Further afield is the historic port of La Rochelle and the sandy beaches along this coast.

How to get here

Ideally situated for travel from the UK, the Port of Caen is 300miles North with Calais and the Chunnel being a further 150miles.

By Eurostar and the TGV the nearest Station is Ruffec which is 10 miles away or Angouleme which is a further 20miles.

With 4 budget airports, including the newly open route to Augouleme (30 Mins), are within an hour and a half drive getting here couldn't be easier.

Other	Although the pool is shared, the only people you will be sharing it with is the property owner's family. Inside our large barn there is a Sauna, Jaccuzi and Gym as well as a galleried games room with seating area, table tennis table, darts, pool and football table. The large 3/4 acre garden is fully walled and secure with areas for quiet reading and outside games. Encircling La Keimax are country walks and cycle rides with routes to match all. Outside the front gates is the village tennis court which is free to guests. There is secure and covered parking for either 2 cars or 8 motorbikes. In the guest's garden there is a private barbecue.

Additional price information

A welcome basket will be left in the gite for your arrival, which will include a few essential items to stop the first morning rush. We will always try and tailor our package to meet your requirements, this may include pre-purchasing food prior to arrival to arranging a barbecue or Pizza evening. We are just an email away and are all willing to discuss individual clients requirements.

For those who stay with us for 2 weeks we will arrange a change of bedding over the middle weekend at your convienience.

There is a fuel supplement during the winter of 30€ for the central heating.

We have all baby and toddler equipment, therefore before you load up too much, please ask as we have most things.  

A fully refundable security deposit of 200€ will be required on arrival.
