A delightful cosy studio for two with use of the swimming pool. Perfectly situated for exploring the area with a great choice of local activities and places of interest.

The Studio is in Villeneuve sur Lot - a  "bastide" town on the river Lot, built in 1250's. The main property overlooks the river and is very quiet and secluded.

The property has a garden on half an acre. Secluded and quiet with a mature garden. Private access on to the tow path which leads into town.

There is a small swimming pool which is great for keeping cool but not for training for the olympics!!!!  Relax on the comfortable sun loungers around the pool. Plenty of shade provided by parasols where necessary.

About the location

The studio is a 10 minute walk on foot from central market square.

There are 3 weekly markets plus an evening gourmet market in August. Several good restaurants, banks, chemists etc. all within walking distance.

Busy market town with many tourist attractions especially over the summer season including free weekly openair concerts overlooking the river.  

Several chateaux nearby to visit, delightful bastide towns - Monflanquin, Monpazier, Villereal and Penne are about a 15 minutes drive. There are also the prehistory caves to visit and the prune and foie gras museums close by.

How to get here

Studio is in Villeneuve sur Lot in a very quiet residential area, overlooking the river. 2 hrs drive from Bordeaux and Toulouse. Agen - 30 mins. Cahors - 1 hr. Bergerac airport 45 mins.    Regular bus service to Agen, nearest mainline station.
