The setting of the properties are perfect for walking and cycling. The quiet lanes around the property are ideal for a family to cycle safely, with very few cars around. At the back of the property is woodland which is ideal for a short stroll or a lengthy walk through vines and sunflowers.

The farmhouse is of traditional Charentaise style but has been completely renovated and offers very spacious accommodation. It is situated in a pretty spot surrounded by sunflowers and woodland. All bedrooms have been renovated recently.

Ground floor

• Kitchen / diner - well fitted with dining table and chairs, a large french fireplace for burning logs and door onto the garden.
• Utility room
• Lounge - comes with satellite (English) TV, games console and DVD player. There are shelves full of books, board games, and a CD player.
• Bedroom 1 - with a double bed and well equipped with wardrobes and chests of drawers
• Bedroom 2 - with twin beds, wardrobes and chest of drawers, this room also has satellite (British) TV.
• Shower room - new addition

First floor

• Bedroom 3 - has a double bed and wardrobe and chest of drawers.
• Bedroom 4 - this room is huge and boasts beautiful original beams and exposed stone walls. There is a double bed and also a single bed. It has plenty of room for an extra bed should one be required. It comes well equipped with chests of drawers and wardrobe.
• Bathroom - a very good size and boasts a new cabin shower.

About the location

The farmhouse and the gite are in a quiet but not isolated spot surrounded by vines and sunflowers. On the edge of a small village we are equidistant between two major towns. Both are under 10 mins drive. One of the towns is Mirambeau and it has a supermarket, bars, shops, an outdoor swimming pool and the magnificent chateau where you can dine or just have a coffee.

Jonzac is a much larger town and boasts a wealth of shops, bars, restaurants and cafes. It also has a beautiful mediaeval chateau with tours in English. There is a casino and the fantastic 'Les Antilles' which is a tropical swimming complex with sauna, gym and beauty treatment facilities. The coast is just over a half hour drive away and has long white sandy beaches and clear blue seas.

How to get here

By Air: Bordeaux airport is under an hours drive away. La Rochelle Airport is 1 and half hours drive. Poitiers is 2 hours drive.

By Road: We are just over 5 mins drive off the main A10 motorway, come off at Junction 37.

By train: Into Angouleme an hour away and has good connections to Jonzac station under 10mins drive away.
