This charming house sits in the heart of the village of Pexiora - midway between Carcassonne and Toulouse in the Aude department of the Languedoc. It is 20 minutes from the famous city of Carcassonne, and near the Canal du Midi - both of which are World Heritage sites. It has been carefully and lovingly restored retaining the original character of the property and offering warmth, light and modern facilities. The house has many attractive features, including original beams, wooden and terracotta tiled flooring. 

Welcome Hamper - a complimentary hamper will be awaiting you on your arrival containing milk, tea, coffee, wine, bread, butter, eggs, juice, cheese, jam and other essential items to prepare for a light supper or breakfast. We will also leave a chilled bottle of local Blanquette de Limoux sparkling wine in the fridge.

The garden and patio are perfect for relaxing and al fresco dining with sun loungers, BBQ and garden furniture/canvas parasol.
• Living Room has a 3 seater comfortable Sofa Bed (can be used as 3rd bedroom) alternative dining table and chairs, widescreen LCD TV for use with DVD + small library of films + stereo.

Upstairs

• First floor 2 spacious bedrooms both have original stripped wooden floors decorated to very high standard in keeping with the original character of the house.
• Modern shower room is also on the first floor.
• Separate WC's are situated on the ground and first floor.

The village is well situated for visits to Carcassonne, Castelnaudary, Mirepoix, Toulouse, Canal du Midi, Cathar Castles, Lake St Ferriol near Revel for watersports, Mediterranean beaches of Narbonne, Black Mountain (Montagne Noir), Pyrenees, Catalan Spain. Activities such as cycling, walking, wine tasting, golf, spa visits, boat hire are available within easy reach.

The Canal du Midi runs through the whole of the region from Carcassone towards Castelnaudary. With its tree lined banks and many eating and drinking places en route, it is an ideal way to spend a relaxing day, either walking or taking a boat trip.
