Our two  holiday homes has been finished to the highest standard offering guests every comfort and convenience whilst at the same time maintaining all the traditional warmth and charm of oak exposed ceiling beams, wood burning fireplaces or stoves and open stonework walls.

A further attraction is that each property has its own large private terrace which is ideal for alfresco dining or just soaking up the sun.

Meanwhile each property also has exclusive use of its own private 5x10 metre swimming pool both of which security fences to maximise childrens safety.

Whether you are looking for a peaceful relaxing time lounging by the pool amidst  beautiful rolling countryside or you are looking for a more active holiday, Langlade is sure to meet your every need.

Comfort and style are the keynotes of this tastefully restored 1,800 sf house. Boasting well planned spacious accommodation, La Petite Anglade, with its shuttered windows, terracotta floor tiles and comfortable modern furnishings should not fail to please the whole family.

The house comfortably sleeps eight adults. It has

• Large living room featuring a large cut-stone fireplace and open stonework walls. Both kitchen and living room have French doors leading onto the large sun-soaked back terrace which is perfect for alfresco dining and barbecues.
• Two double bedrooms

• Separate toilet

Outside:

Large south facing garden is ideal for games or simply soaking up the sun while the delightful private swimming pool (10 X 5 metres) enjoys panoramic views over the surrounding countryside.

About the location

The village of Montboyer, situated approximately 1km away, is a typical small French country village. It has a small grocery shop/bakery (suitable for basic requirements only), a post office, a garage and a very friendly and welcoming little bar/restaurant, Le Pas Sage, which produces some excellent local fare at remarkably affordable prices. The terrace at the back of the bar is a particularly pleasant place to while away an hour over aperitifs.

The village is fortunate to have a very active and hard working Committee des Fetes. Each year the committee organise around a dozen functions spread throughout the year, but predominantly in summer. These range from local farmer markets, dinners, fairs and country side walks/picnics. Despite their diverse nature all of these events have a common denominating factor. Should you be fortunate enough for your visit to coincide with one of these local soirees be sure to attend!. You are guaranteed to be warmly welcomed, have a great time whilst at the same time experiencing a true taste of French rural life.

The market town of Chalais is 7km away. It has a good sized super market - Intermarche - for more extensive shopping requirements as well as most other type of shop including pharmacies, butchers, bakers, cake shops banks, cash points etc. In addition, if you are unfortunate to need them you will find doctors dentists and physiotherapists not to mention several watering holes (the best of which are the Bar du Marche and the PMU).

No matter what your taste you will be well catered for by the many and varied restaurants in the locality. These range from gourmet style restaurants offering food of the highest quality down to small family run bars/restaurants offering more traditional local fare. All of these restaurants have one thing in common: within their class, all offer quality food at remarkably reasonable prices. Typical prices (without wine) range from around €30 for a four or five course meal in one of the better restaurants to around €10 to €15 in a family style restaurant.
