Ideal for couples seeking peace and tranquility. Our dream one bedroom Gite is nestled in it's own secluded garden next to the pool. Walk straight out the door into the forest of Cledou where you will find an abundance of wildlife and beautiful birds.

Visit the wonderful French chateaux and many excellent restaurants locally, shop in the bustling markets or the new shopping Mall in Angouleme or simply relax by the pool in the sun with a crisp glass of local Bordeaux or Bergerac wine and a good book!

The accommodation at La Reve comprises:

• Kitchen / lounge / dining room - with dining table and 4 dining chairs. Comfortable lounge area with original beams including settee and French TV.
• Double bedroom
• Bathroom

Outside

The Gite has it's own secluded garden with patio table and chairs for that wonderful Alfresco dining. The pool is shared only with the owners. You have access to the owners 2 acre garden and their own attached woodland.

About the location

We are situated in a small rural Hamlet 2.5km from the village of Rougnac. Here you can find a traditional French restaurant, village shop and petrol station, bakers and post office. Just 10 minutes drive away is the fortress town of Villebois Lavalette with excellent large supermarket, weekly French market, shops and several restaurants. The owner is ITEC qualified in Massage and Reflexology, discounts available for Guests.

The interesting town of Riberac is only 25 minutes drive and holds the best market in the region every Friday. The lively city of Angouleme is only 20 minutes drive and the Roman city of Perigueux is only 40 minutes drive. There is also an abundance of wonderful French chateaux to visit nearby as well as the beautiful town of Brantome, named the Venice of the Perigord only 20 minutes drive away.

How to get here

We are situated 20 minutes drive South of Angouleme, just off the D939 that runs from the city of Angouleme to the city of Perigueux.

The EuroStar/TGV train stops at Angouleme station, just 20 minute drive from us.

Angouleme airport is opening from April 1st 2008 and we are just 25 minutes drive from this airport.
