Restored 18 century Gascony farmhouse situated in the tranquil countryside of the Gers.

In the summer months the surrounding farmland is full of the vibrant yellow, with the pungent aroma, of fields of sunflowers. The extensive mature grounds boast an 11 metre swimming pool with the Pic du Midi and the Pyrenees as a backdrop.

Accommodation consists of two large double rooms and 1 smaller room fitted with bunk beds. Two bath/shower rooms and 3 toilets. 

An ideal getaway from the hustle of modern day life.

The accommodation comprises:

• 2 large double rooms with king size beds, one with en-suite
• 1 room with bunk beds
• Large lounge with bed settee
• Large kitchen/diner well appointed with table to seat 8.  This area leads into the
• Lounge which has english satellite T.V. as well as D.V.D. and video
• Separate laundry room off the kitchen with dishwasher and washing machine
• Double doors open to large terrace with views over the large mature garden with pool, and with the Pyrenees as a backdrop

About the location

Haget is a vibrant country village.  There are 2 market towns 3 and 4 kilometres away with all amenities including weekly market.

The large town Tarbes is 17 kms and has large shopping area and many restaurants.

Auch the capital of the Gers and is 50 kms away.  It is a very historic town with a beatifull Cathedral.

Both Lourdes and Pau are about 30 kms.

There are some wonderful auberge restaurants within a 10-15 km radius, with several on farms where they serve their own produce - duck being the speciallity of the region.

The Pyrenees, which can be seen from the grounds are about a 45 mins drive and it is around an hour to Spain.

The coast is about an hour to Biaritz.

How to get here

The nearest rail station is in Tarbes about 20 mins drive, car hire is available here.

The nearest airport is at Pau about 35-40 mins.  There is also Toulouse which is the largest and is and served by all the major airlines around 2hrs.

All the major auto routes head in this direction the A64 goes through Tarbes, about 25 mins drive. The A10 to Bordeaux is a pleasant 2 hour drive across country. The A20 and the A61 meet up at Toulouse with the A64 to Tarbes.
