This Traditional Stone House has been totally, sympathetically restored to offer our Clients a superb Character Acommodation.

It is situated in the Circulade village of Magalas amongst the Languedoc Vineyards. It is a three minute walk to the village centre where there are Cafes, Bars, a Supermarket, Cash Machine, Pharmacy, Boulagerie and Newsagent. There is also a superb Restaurant. The Mediteranean beaches lie just 25 minutes away.

Maison Herve dates back to the 19th Century and is situated in the medieval circulate traditional village of Magalas. Sympathetically  restored to reveal the stone staircases, low beams on the ground floor and a fully beamed ceiling in the master suite, this little stone house is an absolute delight to stay in.

Ground Floor

• Master luxury suite - with wrought Iron four poster bed, luxury bedding, double cream wardrobe with mirror.
• Luxury corner bath/over shower and is decorated with Roman style mosaic tiles and also has a pretty vanity unit with modern freestanding washbasin. This stunning room has painted floors, lovely chandelier and small french window. Wrought iron stair balustrades and table and chairs for your comfort.

About the location

The Stone House is located in the ancient circulade village of Magalas, in the heart of the Languedoc vineyards. The village has 2 great restaurants, cafe bars, and a bank with UK cash machine facilities. There is also a supermarket, school village square, pharmacy and newsagent. Magalas is a lively little village and is midway between Carcassonne and Montpelier.

The long sandy beaches of the Mediterranean are a 30 minute drive. These include the quieter beaches of Marseillan Plage and Serignan Plage, and also Cap d'Agde for its water park, boat trips and the marine Aquarium.

Montpelier offers excellent shopping, or visit the ancient walled city of Carcassone. Nimes and also Narbonne are a great day out.

Fancy a change of country? Barcelona is a 2 hour drive or head on around the coast to Nice and Monte Carlo approximately 3 hours.

The Languedoc National Park with its stunning scenery is a must, the gorges are superb.

The L'orb Valley, slightly inland is a twenty five minute drive, for kayaking, swimming and Mountain biking.

The quaint village of Pezenas is a twenty five minute drive with its array of lovely restaurants, art and craft shops and open air markets. Bezier is a twenty minute drive, passing various  hilltop villages on the way. Take a trip on the Canal du Midi from Bezier, also an excellent area for cycling and walking.

• Carcassone /Nimes 1 hour 20 minutes
• Perpignan 1 hour
• Gerona and Toulose 2 hours.

There is a new service on Ryanair, (great only 20mins !) UK departure airport for this service is Bristol.

Rail:

• French rail to Montpelier via Paris.
• Motor rail Calais to Narbonne.

Road:

• Paris is an 8 hour drive and Caen is 10 hours.
