La Mauve de Pradinas is an old picturesque farmhouse on the edge of a hamlet in the heart of the Segala, Lacombe de Pradinas.

Lacombe it's - a few houses, a farm, an old well, meadows and cows, a breath taking view, a sky as far as the eye can see and sometimes and when the weather is particularly clear, you will see the Pyrenees (200 km away!).

La Mauve includes two gites: La Grange (The Barn) and La Bergerie (The Sheephold) which is not yet available. They are old rustic styled gites complemented by all modern conveniencies.

Sorry, no pets allowed although we love them!!!

Accommodation detail

La Grange is perfect for a couple and comprises:

• Kitchen / lounge / dining room - nicely furnished and decorated lounge with stone walls and a french window. There is a comfortable leather sofa. The dining area is rustic and cosy. Fully fitted corner kitchen (owners' washing machine on request )
• Twin bedroom - very large room with 2 beds (90 x 200 cm) and very comfortable full latex mattresses
• Bathroom - with large shower (100 x 140 cm)
• Separate toilet

Every window and door is fitted out with mosquito nets. There are ironing facilities (+ folding clotheslines) and vacuum cleaner. Central heating in every room (oil).

Outside

The gite is totally self-contained with its own access. From the lounge, a french window leads to your private terrace with outdoor table and chairs. There is also a little private garden with two sun beds and a bench. Plus there are parking places.

Marianne and Alain (a Belgian couple) will welcome you. They live next to the gite and will be there to help you to explore this wonderfull area and, if you want, they will recommend some good restaurants to you.

About the location

Where is it?

Located midway between Villefranche de Rouergue and Rodez, Lacombe is 7 km away from Rieupeyroux wich provides all your major needs including doctors and dentists.

Within a radius of 60 km, you will visit some of the most beautifull villages of France, such as Najac, Sauveterre de Rouergue, Villefranche de Rouergue, with its great Thursday market, Belcastel, Conques, the lake of Pareloup and its beaches. A little farther, (about an hours drive east) you will see the world's tallest bridge at Millau. To the south,  you will visit the magnificent gothic cathedral of Albi and the Toulouse Lautrec museum.

How to get here

Local airport: Rodez

Rodez Airport is 40 kilometres, which is approximately 40 minutes away, with daily flights from Stansted in the summer.  Easy Jet, Flybe, Air France and British Airways fly into Toulouse from the UK.  Toulouse is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes away. 

A car is essential.
