Holiday Cottage in Brittany close to the Sea
Pen Ar Prat is situated on the north coast of Finistere, just a few minutes drive from wonderful beaches, near the coastal path between the villages of St Jean du Doigt and Guimaec.
It is ideal for a family holiday or for just getting away from it all. Unlike many parts of the coast of Brittany, this area is unspoilt and retains the sense of lazy summer holidays by the coast known to lovers of the film "M. Hulot's Holiday".
Bright and spacious, the comfortable accommodation is suitable for up to 7 people. The living room has an open fireplace with log-burning stove for cosy nights beside the fire, which makes it an ideal choice at any time of the year. It is child-friendly with its own sheltered, sunny sheltered garden, which is both easy to supervise and safe from traffic.
The house is a traditional gite, part of a small rural hamlet, that is now a group of 4 homes surrounded by fields of artichokes and diary cows, with glimpses of the sea. It was probably built in the 19th century and has been lovingly restored and modernised by the architect owners over the last few years, but still retains the charm of the original building. It provides a tranquil rural retreat, surrounded by the beautiful Breton countryside.
