La Maison is a stunning town house for those who want to enjoy the delights of one of the most beautiful villages in France and feel part of its life.

Estaing is the holder of a coveted 'Beaux villages de France' award and do not be surprised to find yourself sitting in the local restaurant next to the 'squire' Giscard d'Estaing, the ex-President of France who owns the local chateau.

There are distinct advantages that this house has over a rural location: freshly baked bread, cafes, restaurants, post office, swimming pool and tennis courts, all within easy walking distance. Its full central heating makes it a magnificent holiday choice in the Spring and Autumn.
The house is in a very quiet street and has been tastefully restored by the owners to an extremely high standard of accommodation and comfort that is difficult to match in a town house.

Ground floor

• Hall - the entrance door leads into the hall with door to the garage and original staircase to the landing
• Kitchen / dining / living room - large living area with comfortable sofas, TV and DVD and antique marble fireplace. The dining area has a table and chairs, 2 French windows opening onto a small balcony with table and chairs to enjoy the morning sun. A separate kitchen area is provided with fitted units housing dishwasher, fridge/freezer, ceramic hob, oven and microwave
• Coakroom - with WC and hand basin

There is a free broadband internet connection for the use of guests. The house has the benefit of full oil fired central heating.

First floor

• Bedroom 1 - master bedroom has a double bed
• Bedroom 2 - has twin beds
• Bathroom - a spacious room with bath and shower room. Towels are provided
• Separate WC

Outside

A door from the kitchen leads to a small secluded rear terrace with table and chairs and which leads up to a cottage garden with fig tree and a secluded sun terrace which enjoys the sun most of the day.

Garage parking is provided.

About the location

Known as the gateway to Southern France, the Aveyron Department benefits from a near Mediterranean climate - without the crowds. Being completely unspoilt and uncommercialised the area contains some magical villages with wonderful good value, family owned restaurants providing a wide selection of delicious local produce, wines and cheese.

Surrounded by stunning scenery makes this a walkers paradise with an opportunity to see a variety of wildlife, beautiful flowers and fauna and a wonderful variety of bird species rarely found in the UK. Within easy driving distance there are plenty of spectacular places and sites to visit whether it be the fabulously historic village of Rocamadour; the pre-historic cave paintings at Peche Merle; the underground caves at Padirac;  a day out in the remote Auvergne with its lunar landscape appearance; or the awesome grandeur of the Tarn Gorge and the new Millau viaduct - the list is endless and we are certain you will not be disappointed.
