About the location

The property is situated amongst the vines in the village of Sablet. The village has all commerce, two restaurants, a tourist office where you can taste and buy the local wines, and plenty of private vineyards. There is a wonderful weekly market in Vaison la Romaine about 10 mins away, as well as markets almost every day of the week somewhere in the region.

You can easily reach the local towns of Seguret and Gigondas with their famous wines, and Sablet is also well situated for visiting all the famous sights of Provence - Avignon (45mins), Aix (lhr), St Remy (lhr) as well as Orange with its amphitheatre, Vaison la Romaine with its Roman ruins, and of course the most fabulous countryside.

The area is full of excellent restaurants from local cafes to Michelin starred restaurants, and local winebars and cafes where you can spend your time people watching and enjoying a glass of famous Cotes du Rhone wine.

How to get here

Sablet can be reached by exiting the A7 through Orange and on to Sablet. By plane to either Nimes, Avignon, Marseille or Montpellier. The Eurostar arrives at Avignon via the TGV - changing in either Paris or Lille.

Distance by car from Calais is approximately 1000km and takes around 10hrs.
