It has wonderful views from the terrace, and the old village dates back to the 17th century. About 5 minutes away is the village commerce - all you need - with Ste Cecile les Vignes about 3 km away, offering more choice of restaurants, shops and a great Saturday market. A great place to use as a base to explore the region or just to sit and relax on the terrace with a glass of local wine.

The house is situated in the old village of Cairanne, and the village itself has butcher, baker, grocer, tabac, post office and very good winebar/restaurant. About 3km away in Ste Cecile les Vignes there are more shops and restaurants, and for large supermarkets you need to drive about 15 mins. There are wonderful walks, cycle rides and lovely countryside to see within walking distance of the front door, and the village is well placed for visiting all the sights of Provence - the cities of Avignon,Aix and Salon are about lhr away, Vaison la Romaine and Orange are each about 20 mins away, and of course on the doorstep are the very well known vineyards of the Cotes du Rhone, and the top wine growing villages of Gigondas, Seguret, Chateauneuf du Pape. You can reach the coast in about 90 mins for lovely beaches and the wild area of the Camargue. The Gorges of the Ardeche are north - about 2hrs away - so the whole area provides wonderful opportunities for different activities - or simply relax on the terrace and admire the local views.
