Attractive old stone cottage, tastefully restored and set in the outstanding countryside of the Loire region. The cottage is not overlooked and the guests have beautiful views over the countryside. Its location offers easy access to the magnificent towns of Angers, Saumur, Tours and Le Mans.

The gardens around the property are extensive. In addition to the beautifully landscaped private garden, the guests have access to the orchards, open fields and other small secluded gardens which belong to the on-site owner.

Beautiful 18th century cottage, carefully restored to retain many of the original features including the wooden beams and doors.

The ground floor consists of a

• Very comfortable lounge with traditional furniture and soft furnishings. The lounge has a wood burner or alternative electric heaters.
• Kitchen/diner is spacious and fully equipped.

The open plan traditional stairs lead to

• Two bedrooms - a double room and a twin room. Both have traditional cottage features and are very comfortable.
• Bathroom contains a WC, Washbasin and Shower cubicle.

Each room has electric heating.

About the location

The cottage is situated in scenic countryside between the small historic town of Bauge (7km) and the larger picturesque river town of La Fleche (11km). Both towns offer a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops with weekly markets selling a variety of local produce, clothing, gifts etc. La Fleche is beautifully situated on Le Loir, hosting a market each Wednesday and offers a beautiful town square, military museum and much more. The cottage is within easy reach of the many Chateaux, vineyards and the stunning towns of Saumur, Anger, Tours and many other places of interest in the Loire Valley.
