Langlade is an old farm/distillery which has been sympathetically renovated and converted to offer four fully equipped individual houses - Les Lauriers, Les Rosiers, Le Palmier and La Platane. The renovation of the properties was completed in early 2008.

All the houses have private gardens and terraces with outdoor furniture and barbecues. Each house has a new fully equipped modern kitchen (dishwasher, washing machine, microwave etc) and two bathrooms.  The houses are generally equipped to a high specification i.e. satellite LCD TV's etc. 

Langlade is set in its own grounds of approximately two acres and includes a 16 x 10 metre swimming pool in its own enclosure [conforming to the new French regulations], a 10 x 9 metre separate games room with covered terrace and a dedicated Petanque court.

 

Langlade is situated in a peaceful hamlet between the village of Cravans and the town of Gemozac.

A five bedroom 10 person house comprising of two double bedrooms and three single bedrooms.  It has a beautiful stone fire places and is furnished to a very high standard.

About the location

Langlade is approximately 3km from Gemozac which is a busy and lively market town with all facilities including supermarkets, bank, restaurants, markets and shops. Langlade is about 20 km from the coastal towns of Royan and St. George de Didonne (which has a beautiful sandy beach perfect for children).

How to get here

By Car

Our houses are about 4 hours' drive from St Malo, 5 hours from Le Havre or 7 hours from Calais The motorway brings you into Charente Maritime is the A10. The best route from Calais is via Boulogne, Rouen, Le Mans and Tours - simply follow the signs and you can't go wrong.  It's the motorway all the way (apart from going around Rouen) and brand new roads make the drive a pleasure and quicker than the route via Paris.

Directions:

From North (A10): Take exit 36 off the A10 (signed Pons) and follow the road to Gemozac (D732).

If you arrive by air from Bordeaux, the directions are as follows:

From South (A10): Take exit 36 off the A10, which is sign posted Pons and follow the directions above.

If you arrive by air from La Rochelle take the dual carriageway (N237) to Rochefort where you have a choice of the quicker motorway route via the A837 and A10 to Pons as above or the shorter cross country route (initially signposted to Royan) via Le Gua and Saujon.
