• Kitchen/utility room leads onto the sheltered terrace where there are table and chairs overlooking acres of land, very private and peaceful, there is a barbeque here to enjoy evening meals whilst the sun goes down and also a plunge pool for cooling off. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you will need, a side door from the kitchen leads to a pretty courtyard which is south facing. Kitchen has a woodburning stove and a gas cooker for summer use, the kitchen units are wooden/slate including the farmhouse table. 

All rooms have beamed ceilings, with wooden floors to the upstairs, bathroom and living room has limestone flooring with a woodburner in the living room.

There are panoramic views from every window. The property is set in 6 acres of land.

About the location

The property is situated in a small rural village, Verneuil, it is 5 minutes from the pretty village of Massignac, and 10 minutes from Rochechouart and Chabanais, both are typical French villages with all facilities provided. 

The farmhouse is situated within 2 minutes drive or 10 minutes walking distance to the beaches/ lakes/ cafe/ restaurants/ bars and nautical centre. The farmhouse set within beautiful grounds is very peaceful and yet you can find life just minutes up the country road.

La Rochefaucauld is a 40 minute drive where you will find a lovely shopping village with restaurants and bars and a magnificent chateau and next door a chocolate factory/ shop!

There are many activities including an adventure park just 10 minutes drive with bungee jump and suspended activities in the surrounding trees, 20 minutes drive takes you to St Junien, here you will find an indoor/outdoor swimming centre with slides, sauna, gym, cafe etc. The coast is a 2 - 2.5 hour drive to La Rochelle.

How to get here

A 45 minute drive west of Limoges Airport, Bellegarde, where Ryan Air fly daily to London Stansted and regularly from East Midlands and Liverpool. There is also a car hire service available at Limoges Airport and you can also reach this airport by train on one of the 12 daily connections from Paris. Flybe flies 3 times a week from Southampton and daily in the summer. We are 45 minutes East of Angouleme which has a train station served by TGV and Eurostar from Ashford and Waterloo Station.
