The property is surrounded  by wooded hills, mountains, forests, rivers and streams. Abundant wild life and flowers together with the privacy of its location make this an unforgettable experience for families or couples alike.

The wildlife includes birds, butterflies, lizards, snakes, wild boar, deer and badgers. Flowers and fauna to satisfy the expert and novice alike. Bonnefont can boast a prehistoric cave within 20 minutes walking time and many footpaths and tracks to follow. The trees are cherry, walnut, oak, chestnut and numerous vineyards producing affable wines at incredibly low prices.

There is plenty of opportunity to take part in numerous activities including canoeing, horse riding, cycling and boating.  Or just relax!

Ferme de Bonnefont is a totally renovated farmhouse situated in the heart of the countryside and offering accommodation for up to six persons with One double bedroom and one bedroom with 3/4 beds and also the exclusive use of a 10 x 5 metre solar heated swimming pool.

One charge covers everything, there are no extras to pay.

The house is situated on the edge of a tiny hamlet where you will experience calm and tranquility away from all the bustle of everyday life. A BBQ terrace and surroundings afford a totally carefree holiday.  A car is necessary as the hamlet is fairly secluded by modern standards, the nearest shop is 5 kilometres.

• On the ground floor you enter into the living/dining area. There is a wood burning stove in an ancient fireplace. The room has a beamed ceiling and contains dining table, easy chairs and settee.
• Access to the terrace and BBQ through a glazed door at the rear of the house.
• A double bedroom downstairs with wardrobe and bedside tables.
• Kitchen with all modern conveniences and a 
• Bathroom with toilet and shower facility.
• Upstairs via a wooden staircase is a bedroom with three single beds and the possibility of a child's cot or put-u-up bed.

The private solar heated swimming pool is located next to the house with its own changing rooms, toilet and shower.

About the location

Bonnefont (Good Fountain) is a tiny hamlet and it takes its name from the abundance of fresh water which rises nearby.  It consists of two habitable houses, an old school house and various barns and chestnut drying rooms. The schoolhouse is dated 1685 and Ferme de Bonnefont is considered older than that although a precise date is not known. It was the working farm of the hamlet. It has recently been totally renovated and restored and where possible the original features have been preserved.

The hamlet is situated some 5 kilometres from the village of St Etienne d'Albagnan. The whole area has a very low population density and the hamlet is very quiet and calm. It is know locally as a 'small paradise', away from our everyday world.

In St Etienne d'Albagnan you will find the local shop where bread, and provisions can be purchased, the post office, church and very agreeable restaurant offering quality fare. Other shops are found at the nearby pretty village of Olargues.  Premian and St Pons de Thomieres, where there is a Wednesday morning market  worth visiting. Here also you will find restaurants to suit every taste.

There are numerous places to visit nearby from trout farms to our own lake district complete with various boating and walking/cycling activities.  Carcassonne is about 1hr & 1/2  and the Mediterranean a little closer.

The hamlet of Bonnefont is situated on D176E from St Etienne d'Albagnan which stands on D908 between St Pons and Bedarieux.

The airports of Toulouse, Montpellier, Beziers, Perpignan and Carcassone serve the area and rail services run from Beziers, Bedarieux and Toulouse.
