Situated in a quiet hamlet, 2km from the village of Saint Andre de Lidon,  the houses are set in their own grounds, fully equipped and include a shared 11 x 5 metre swimming pool.

The Barn is a three bedroom house over two floors which would accommodate one family.

• Sitting room with open stone fireplace with french doors leading to swimming pool
• Huge open plan kitchen with all facilities

About the location

Chez Bouchard is located in a hamlet near the village of St. Andre de Lidon with easy access to a boulangerie, shop, bar/restaurant and post office.

It is a beautiful quiet location but equally accessible to the lively towns of Gemozac, Cozes and Saintes all with shopping, restaurants and weekly markets. The coastal areas of Royan and St. Georges de Didonne are very accessible being 20kms from the houses.

How to get here

By Car

Our houses are about 4 hours' drive from St Malo, 5 hours from Le Havre or 7 hours from Calais.  The motorway brings you into Charente Maritime is the A10.

The best route from Calais is via Boulogne, Rouen, Le Mans and Tours - simply follow the signs and you can't go wrong.  It's the motorway all the way (apart from going around Rouen) and brand new roads make the drive a pleasure and quicker than the route via Paris.

Directions:

• From North (A10): Take exit 36 off the A10 (signed Pons) and follow the road to Gemozac (D732).
• If you arrive by air from Bordeaux, the directions are as follows:
  From South (A10): Take exit 36 off the A10, which is sign posted Pons and follow the directions above.
• If you arrive by air from La Rochelle take the dual carriageway (N237) to Rochefort where you have a choice of the quicker motorway route via the A837 and A10 to Pons as above or the shorter cross country route (initially signposted to Royan) via Le Gua and Saujon.
