Home description

Le Penalou is a 18th century farm house fully restored with all modern conveniences and yet still maintaining the original French features.  The house is secluded with no other buildings interrupting the views. 

Le Penalou is suitable for a group of adults or a family with children of all ages, we cater for both.  Situated on the Corrèze, Dordogne border it is set in half an acre of garden overlooking unspoilt countryside.

• 3 bedrooms sleeping 7 plus cot on request
• 2 en-suite bathrooms one of which is a wet room (ground floor)
• New 11m swimming pool with solar heating and electric cover

Outside is a dinning table and barbecue area under a pergola overlooking the 11 meter south facing solar heated swimming pool.

About the location

The house is secluded with no other buildings interrupting the views. The nearest village, Montgibaud is less than 2 miles away which has a Michelin guide recommended restaurant, Le Tilleul de Sully.

The nearest town, Lubersac, is about 4 miles away which has full amenities. On the outskirts of Lubersac there is a large supermarket and fuel station. For those of you who want to venture out at night there is a disco called La Pyramide about 2 Miles away.

The farmhouse is only 40 minutes drive from Limoges airport and 1 3/4 hours from Bergerac. There are many great, low cost options from the UK.

Car hire is available directly from the airport.

If you are driving, there are many companies that offer channel crossings.
