A well designed and furnished cottage. As the property is on different levels it is not suitable for wheelchair users, we can only accept persons over 18 and pets are not allowed.

To one side of the house there is a dense mixed wood and large old oak trees border the garden on two other sides.

The cottage began life as a simple huntsman's stone retreat. This now forms the restored spacious kitchen. It has been extended in traditional French style with pine beams, vaulted ceilings.

The property is tiled throughout with large biscuit coloured ceramic floor tiles.

The accommodation comprises:

• Bedroom one has a double bed, wardrobe, bedside table and a chest of drawers.
• Bedroom two also has a double bed, fitted wardrobe, bedside table and a chest of drawers.
• Both bedrooms have access to outside via French doors.
• The bathroom has a bath with shower attachment, all controlled by thermostatic safety bath taps.  A toilet and drop basin with shelves below and mirror above, completes the fitting.
• The kitchen (approx 5 x 4 m) is well equipped and offers views of a pine forest.  There is an under counter fridge and freezer, washing machine, microwave and food processor.  A large 5 burner gas cooker with oven/grill is provided.
• The lounge is light and airy with French doors.  It is furnished with dining table and chairs, a 3 seater sofa (which converts into a double bed), and 2 armchairs.  A television with English channels, video, dvd player and cd/tape player are provided.

All linen, towels and tea towels will be provided, but guests are requested to bring their own swim towels.  Fresh supplies will be provided weekly.

About the location

Vaour is the nearest village, where one can purchase the essentials of bread, dairy produce, newspapers etc.

The towns of San Antonin and Cordes provide further shopping facilities.

How to get here

The nearest airports are Toulouse and Rodez, both about a one hour drive away. Car hire or use of a car is essential as the property is set in a rural location.
