Where is it

Madame, who is French-speaking from Québec, is a busy, chatty young mother of teenagers with a farming husband.  The house is a family home and offers a a warm atmosphere rather than sterile hygiene.  The owner holds the key to the fascinating church next door as the house, in a lovely setting, was the old priory built in 1087 with two ancient towers.

The house boasts a superb swimming pool.

The bed and breakfast rooms vary.  There are very large rooms on the ground floor and upstairs with huge stone fireplace, two queen-size beds, wattle walls with great timbers, more beams on the ceiling and a simple bathroom.  Other rooms are modern.

Breakfast can be a sociable affair and do ask for Madame's crêpes!

There is a restaurant within 10 minutes walk.

Accommodation detail

This room is located on the first floor and has timbers set into the walls and ceiling.  It has a large middle age fire-place and through the window you can admire the stained glass windows of the neighbouring church. The bells are not automatic so it is very quiet.

About the location

The property is located in the middle of a quiet village, crossed by the Seine river.  The property is decorated with local wood, sourced from the farm and surrounding area.

There is a very good local restaurant in the village about a 10 minute walk.
