Bed & Breakfast with Swimming Pool in the Champagne Region

Madame, who is French-speaking from Québec, is a busy, chatty young mother of teenagers with a farming husband.  The house is a family home and offers a a warm atmosphere rather than sterile hygiene.  The owner holds the key to the fascinating church next door as the house, in a lovely setting, was the old priory built in 1087 with two ancient towers.

The house boasts a superb swimming pool.

The bed and breakfast rooms vary.  There are very large rooms on the ground floor and upstairs with huge stone fireplace, two queen-size beds, wattle walls with great timbers, more beams on the ceiling and a simple bathroom.  Other rooms are modern.

Breakfast can be a sociable affair and do ask for Madame's crêpes!

There is a restaurant within 10 minutes walk.

The marble fireplace in this room is complemented with the decor including velvet and lace work.  It is a sunny room and has a dual aspect with the first window opening onto the church square while the other window you are overlooks the farm yard.

The property is located in the middle of a quiet village, crossed by the Seine river.  The property is decorated with local wood, sourced from the farm and surrounding area.

There is a very good local restaurant in the village about a 10 minute walk.
