Sweet Stone Cottage with Plunge Pool in Correze

Penny Cottage is a children's paradise with 10 acres to explore and no passing traffic.  A place to relax and unwind with a book or your paint brush and easel.  Or just a comfortable and well equipped base for you to come back to after a hectic day of your choice.

Penny Cottage is set in the middle of meadows and a small wood.  We have a herd of alpacas for you to see.  Bird watchers add to their lists here.  Cycling and walking for all abilities. The above ground swimming pool is for your exclusive use.

We are on site to help you with any information we can, but far enough away not to be seen from the cottage.

Holiday Accommodation at Penny Cottage

This stone cottage is comfortable and well equipped and has been fully restored to a high standard.  There are beams in every room.  In the huge inglenook fireplace there is a woodburning fire and electric heaters in all the other rooms to keep you warm in winter.  The beds will be made up for you and fluffy towels in the bathrooms ready.  There are no extra charges as the linen, electricity and logs are included in the price.

Penny Cottage comprises:

Ground floor

  • Living room - a large open plan living area with comfortable seating in front of the inglenook, and a colour TV with english satellite.  There are cards, books and board games too.
  • Corner kitchen - well equipped so you can cook for the family all week if you like.
  • Dining area - large dining table for six plus high chair if you need one.
  • Double Bedroom - with cot plus lots of storeage and wonderful views.
  • Bathroom - with shower over the bath.

First floor

  • Double Bedroom - with lots of storeage.
  • Twin Bedroom - with lots of storeage.
  • Shower Room

Outside

Large private patio and garden with table and chairs for 6 plus barbecue for your outside dining.  This leads to your own large plunge pool and play area.

About St Pardoux Corbier in Corrèze, Limousin

  • Penny Cottage is set in a very tranquil location with lovely views of open countryside yet only 2 km from the village of Lubersac which has good restaurants, supermarket etc.
  • Pompadour is only 7 km and is famous for the Chateau and Race Course plus the Nation Stud of Anglo Arab Horses.
  • Uzerche and Objat are local towns both well worth a visit.
  • Limoges is about 60 km north and Brive La Gaillarde is 55 km south.
  • Although we are not close to the sea we have some wonderful swimming lakes with beaches the nearest being Vigeois at 10 km.
  • In July and August several local villages have an evening market where you buy your produce and cook it on the barbecues provided while being entertained with live music and dancing for free.

How To Get To St Pardoux Corbier in Corrèze, Central France

  • Penny Cottage is less than an hours drive south from Limoges Bellegarde Airport with UK flights with :-
  • Ryanair from Stanstead, East Midlands and Liverpool.
  • Flybe from Newcastle and Southampton.
  • Bergerac Airport is a two and a half hour drive with additional routes:-
  • Ryanair from Bristol
  • Flybe from Exeter, Gatwick, Birmingham, Leeds Bradford and Edinburgh.
  • By car we are 720 km from Calais which takes 7-8 hours and we are 10 km from the A20 Autoroute.
  • Trains come to Limoges or Brive.
  • Car Hire is available from the airports or train stations.
