Set in the beautiful countryside of Provence, the Winemaker’s House is a perfect holiday stay for wine enthusiasts, walkers, bikers and those wishing to get off the beaten track, relax and enjoy the many treasures that are to be found in the enchanting department of Vaucluse in Southern France.

The five bedroom house, at the British owned Domaine de Mourchon vineyard, is set in the hills behind the village of Séguret. The house can accommodate groups of up to ten people with two kitchens, three bathrooms and a terrace leading on to a garden and vines.  The main house can also be rented alone, accommodating up to six people with a kitchen and two bathrooms. Standing at an altitude of 350 metres the property takes in breathtaking views of the area including Mont Ventoux, the Dentelles de Montmirail and the Rhone Valley.

You have private use of the garden and pool.

Staying at this family run private vineyard offers a unique opportunity to understand the magic and mysteries of wine production with tours of the vines and winery as well as tastings of the Domaine’s quality wines. With the family at hand to help arrange visits to other key vineyards and sites of interest in the area, staying at the Winemaker’s House at Domaine de Mourchon will provide the visitor with a truly original and memorable holiday.

Accommodation detail

The Winemaker's House, at the Domaine de Mourchon vineyard has three bedrooms accommodating up to 6 people. It comprises:

• Kitchen / dining / living room - spacious open plan area
• Two double bedrooms
• One twin bedroom
• Two bathrooms (one bath, one shower)

Outside

There is a terrace leading on to a garden with a swimming pool.  These are for your private use.

A two bedroom apartment in the same building can be added to accommodate a group of up to 10 people in total.  Please ask us for details and price.

About the location

Standing at an altitude of 350 metres the property takes in breathtaking views of the area including Mont Ventoux, which is often used as a stage in the Tour de France cycle race.

There is a multitude of sightseeing choices including the Roman ruins and museum at Vaison la Romaine, the magnificent aqueduct at Pont-du-Gard, the Dentelles hills and the Toulourenc river, medieval villages, Provençal pottery, many local markets, the Orange Roman Theatre, summer festivals (Baroque music and modern dance) and the world renowned Avignon theatre festival in July.

How to get here

The Domaine is located behind the village of Séguret, 45 km north-east of Avignon.  

• Avignon can be reached by high-speed train (TGV).  
• The Marseille airport is 1 hour 30 minutes drive.  
• By car, if coming from the north, please exit the autoroute at Bollène and if coming from the south take exit Orange-Sud.

• Maid Service not included in weekly price, except for an end of stay cleaning (which is included).
