Beautiful French Villa with Pool. Tranquil Location and Stunning Views near Uzes

A large, beautiful and tastefully renovated French villa.   Fabulous 10 x 5 metre private salt water pool with decking and garden in the peaceful village of Serviers, just 6km from Uzes.   Set on a wooded hillside with magnificent views.  Within easy reach of the stunning town of Uzes, restaurants, shops, the Pont du Gard, Nimes, Avignon, Camargue, Ardeche etc.

Holiday Accommodation at Montfaucon

This beautiful French villa provides superb spacious and extremely comfortable accommodation.

The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, crockery, cutlery, glasses, saucepans, cooking pans etc.  The lovely bedrooms feature wonderfully comfortable beds, luxurious mattress toppers, cotton sheets, blankets, duvets and fans. The stylish bathrooms feature large shower areas with excellent water pressure, heated towel rails, large bath and permanent hot water.  There are comfortable armchairs and sofas in the living area. TV, DVD player and selection of DVDs, CD players.

The large terrace on the first floor offers wonderful views during the day across to the town of Uzes and in the evening it is perfect for dining outside and listening to the sounds of the cicadas.

The private beautiful 10 x 5 metre pool is surrounded by decking, lavender and rosemary bushes and views through the trees.  The salt water in the pool makes it kinder to the skin and keeps the wasps away.  Sunbeds, cushions and pool towels are available for your comfort as is the hammock hanging between the trees!

The accommodation is arranged over two floors, with the living space predominantly on the first floor.  There is a large terrace on the second floor leading out from the living area,  providing fabulous views across to Uzes.

• The large kitchen features a wood burning stove and a large dining table which will comfortably seat 8 people. The kitchen is well equipped with crockery, cutlery, glasses, cookbooks, napkins, etc. Double aspect French doors lead you onto:
• The long terrace where there is an additional dining table and six wrought iron chairs with seat pads. From the Terrace you can enjoy views across the Garriguette towards Uzes. The night skies are also beautiful and you can enjoy dinner on the terrace listening to the sounds of the sounds of the Cicadas in the trees.
• The living room is light and spacious with sofas and armchairs that will comfortably accommodate 8 people.  TV with FreeSat and DVD player.  CD player are provided.
• Three double bedrooms with comfortable beds and luxurious mattress toppers - 2 double bedrooms on the ground floor and one double bedroom on the first floor. 
• Two bathrooms - one on each floor featuring heated towel rail large showers with permanent hot water and excellent water pressure.  Large bath in the upstairs bathroom.

Outside

The property is set in a wooded garden with a 10x5 metre private pool offering further views out to the Garriguette.  The pool is salt water which is kinder to the skin and unpopular with wasps! There is a further terrace on the ground floor and two additional outdoor dining tables and chairs, each seating 6-8 people. The swimming pool is nicely secluded behind a dry stone wall surrounded by wood decking. Sunbeds, cushions, pool towels and hammock are there for your enjoyment.

About Serviers Et Labaume in Gard, Languedoc Roussillon

The villa is situated in the very quiet hillside village of Serviers, 6km from the beautiful famous medieval town of Uzes.

Serviers used to be known as Le Petit Nice because it is completely sheltered from the Mistral. The hilltop village affords lovely views across the Gariguette and beyond to Uzes. At the foot the village there is a very nice restaurant called L'Olivier which offers a very good value gourmet quality lunch or a more extravagant dinner menu.  L'Oliver has also recently introduced a take away Pizza menu and in our opinion - the Pizzas are excellent.   The local boulangerie send a bread van to the village each morning to deliver freshly baked bread and croissants for people in the village to buy - flag the van down if you want to enjoy French boulangerie at its best!
The village has a small school and as with all the villages in this area, has its own Fete and Bull Run in the summer months - definitely worth seeing. From time to time other village fetes and events take place.

The historic market town of Uzes boasts lots of restaurants and quaint shops but it is famous for its weekly market on a Saturday which attracts locals and tourists alike.

The beautiful city of Avignon is a 45 minute drive away and the stunning beaches, beachfront restaurants and scenery of the Camargue are approximately 45 minutes - 1 hour drive. The Roman towns of Nimes, Arles and Orange are nearby as is the Cote du Rhone wine region.

There's a golf course close by, you can walk or cycle in the Cevennes, explore the pretty villages of the Uzege or kayak down to the Pont du Gard - a week won't be long enough to do it all.

30 - 45 minutes drive from Nimes airport. Directions can be provided but you will need a car to explore this beautiful part of France.
