Delightful Charentaise Cottage with Electrically Heated Pool

Detached gite set in a fully enclosed garden with 10m x 5m electrically heated swimming pool, private terrace and BBQ area.

Situated in a peaceful and pretty hamlet, yet within distance of the village having a bakery, butcher, restaurant, bar, bank, newsagent, post office and a mini market. Under fifteen minutes drive from the shops, restaurants and markets of Saintes. Perfectly located for exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside and days out at the beach. Within easy driving distance of La Rochelle, Saintes, Cognac, Royan or Poitiers and even the Medoc region by local BAC (ferry).

The pool is not shared with any other holidaymakers.

Holiday Accommodation at La Tublerie Cottage

This delightful cottage is set in a fully enclosed garden with completely fenced swimming pool, terrace and Barbecue area.

The property comfortably accommodates 4 people in two double bedrooms. Linen and towels provided. Cot and high chairs available.

Facilities include English satellite television and internet WiFi access. A welcome pack is provided on arrival.

The property is all on one level and the terrace is south facing ensuring sun all of the day.

• The Kitchen and Dining area - Fully fitted wooden kitchen units and cabinets, ample storage space below and above. Ample working area.   Equipped for 4 people with crockery, pots and pans, cutlery and cooking utensils, iron and ironing board etc.  There is a washing machine, gas oven and hob, and large fridge/freezer.  You will also find electric kettle, toaster, etc.  A dining table and chairs comfortably seat 4 people. (high chair also available)
• Living Area - A large  sofa suite seating 4+ in comfort with coffee table  in the centre of the living area . There is a television  with English TV and a DVD /VHS player Playstation . CD/Cassette/Radio. Oak display/storage cabinets.
• Small lobby - leading to bathroom and the Bedrooms.
• Bathroom: Very large bathroom with newly fitted white suite comprising of shower with tiled surround,  Wash hand basin.  W.C.  and  a towel rail.
• Bedroom 1 - A large bedroom with two single beds , matching bedside tables with lamps.   Wardrobes with shelves and drawers.  A hairdryer is provided.
• Bedroom 2 - A large bedroom with double bed, matching bedside tables with lamps.   wardrobes with shelves and drawers.  
• The Pool: The blue linered electrically heated pool (27 DegC min) is a deep luxurious 10m x 5m.  The shallowest end is approximately 1.5 metres deep with metal steps descending into the pool for those less inclined to jump or dive straight in! .  The pool is fitted with alarms compliant with French swimming pool safety law and a fence with a child proof tamper latch. A non-slip paved patio surrounds the pool, with a table, parasol and sun-beds for relaxation. What better way to un-wind (between 'dips') than with a good book. Parents please note children should be carefully supervised at all times, especially in and around the pool.

A fantastic holiday in this wonderful part of France. Lovely Gite, lovely pool and the garden and the Rudgies (owners) were superb. Get out and see the area as there are lots of things to do with spectacular beaches in the Royan area. Sightseeing in La Rochelle, Bordeaux and Cognac (Otard distillery is the best to tour). About Corme Royal in Charente-Maritime, Poitou Charentes

The property is 17 kilometres from the Roman town of Saintes where there is a golf course and large supermarket. The lively sea side resort of Royan is only 36 kilometres from the property, with a fabulous golf course. Cognac is 40 kilometres away with its excellent distilleries. Other attractions include a zoo at La Palmyre, oyster beds, picturesque villages and excellent sandy beaches. La Rochelle, Bordeaux, Iles de Ré and Oléron are reachable for days out to its seaside resorts and beaches, great for surfing.

How To Get To Corme Royal in Charente-Maritime, South West France

The A10, which is the main motorway linking the north to the south is 10-15 minutes away. La Rochelle and Bordeaux are the closest airports with La Rochelle around 45 minutes and Bordeaux which is 1hr 15 minutes. You can fly from the following UK airports to the above destinations, Stansted, Southampton, Birmingham and Gatwick.
