We are Richard and Magda and we love our home, the village, the surrounding countryside and all that Normandy has to offer and want to share it with you.
Above all when you come to stay, we want you to relax and feel at home so as well as the lovely bedrooms, there is a welcoming lounge for you to use with a fire to warm you in the cooler months.
Here you will find all you need to make yourselves comfortable - glasses and a corkscrew to you can enjoy a drink, many leaflets and suggestions as to how to fill the next day, including one detailing all Collectors and Antiques Fairs, Brocantes and Flea Markets.
We have a selection of games such as Pictionery and Articulate as well as a bookcase full of paperbacks on the second floor.
Le Bosquet is set in over 2 acres of walled grounds with lovely views down to the village and River Orne.
The garden contains many lovely mature trees and home to numerous birds and a family of red squirrels and you are welcome to enjoy the grounds to play pétanque, have a picnic or use the barbeque should you wish.
The picturesque river side village and all its amenities is just a short stroll away, while we are also ideally situated to explore further afield to discover more of this delightful corner of the world.
Le Tilleul is a large double bedroom on the first floor with views down to the town and river below.
Whatever time of year, Putanges-pont-Ecrepin is a pretty town set on the edge of the Suisse Normande and has held its weekly market since 1580. It has an excellent Tourist Information office which is open all year round.
There is a small hotel restaurant and Brasserie offering good value meals and just a stroll away from Le Bosquet. There is also a boulangerie, charcuterie, epicerie and a small supermarket so shopping for a picnic is easy.
There is much to do and see in the immediate vicinity and also further afield. Close by is a large man made lake, offering a variety of water sports as well as the chance to cruise while enjoying either lunch or dinner on board. The Suisse Normande offers a wide range of outdoor activities in glorious surroundings.
We are within an easy drive of the glorious and varied Normandy coastline including the D Day Landing beaches and the many associated museums and memorials.
From small villages, seaside towns and cities with wonderful shopping there is so much to explore and these are just a sample. A 20 minutes drive brings you to Falaise, which has a rich cultural heritage and is home to William the Conqueror's Château . It also offers a wealth of leisure activities and hosts many events throughout the year.
Alençon is world famous for needle-point lace, has many attractive streets of fine town houses, with ornate frontages decorated with wrought-iron lace. There is a Fine Arts and Lace Museum with a fabulous collection and occasionally stages exhibitions which are supported by famous designers such as Yves St Laurent and Christian Lacroix amongst others.
Domfront with its walls dating from the Middle Ages and famous dungeon. The surrounding area contains important pear and apple orchards.
Caen is the city of William the Conqueror and home to the ducal château which is one of the largest fortified enclosures in Europe. It has so much else to offer, parks and gardens, memorials and museums, wonderful shops and the marina in its heart from where boat trips will take you to the Côte Fleurie, Côte de Nacre, D-Day Landing Beaches or Pegasus Bridge and other monuments.
Bagnoles-de-l'Orne, set in glorious countryside, is an elegant spa town built in the style of Deauville with a lakeside casino which also offers regular Tea Dances and Soirée. Fixed price or tailored relaxation and well-being sessions can be arranged.
There are also numerous Chateaux and gardens to visit as well as a market to be found every day of the week.
Mont St Michel and Bayeaux provide a pleasant day out and of course Paris and all the capital has to offer, is within easy reach with regular trains from nearby Argentan.

Le Bosquet is only 45 minutes from Caen (Ouistreham) and also within easy reach of the ports of Cherbourg, Le Harve and St Malo.
Thanks to the excellent motorway system in France the Channel Tunnel terminal is just over 3 hours away.
