Lovely Oak-Beamed Holiday Cottage with Private Pool in Loire Valley

This lovely cottage is situated on the edge of a small hamlet, near the village of Ambrault, the Fôret de Bommiers and the medieval town of Issoudun. Surrounded by idyllic countryside, within easy reach of three golf courses and with vineyards, chateaux and markets close at hand, it is the ideal spot for a stress-free holiday.

At night there is no pollution from street lighting. Relax, watch the sun go down and identify stars in the clear sky. Alternatively turn on the floodlighting and enjoy a midnight dip in the pool after barbecuing on the terrace.

If you fancy a morning jog, just head out the gate, turn right and follow the path through the fields to the river. Wander in the opposite direction and you’ll come to the old quarry, now transformed into a nature reserve.

The courtyard has space for three cars, one under cover, and the garden can be securely locked whenever you wish. Shops and supermarkets are close at hand with several open on Sundays.

Holiday Accommodation at Les Canardeaux

This lovely cottage comprises:

• Accommodation: Les Canardeaux offers a well equipped and comfortable self catering accommodation for 6 people and 2 babies. The 8x4m private swimming pool has a security cover and alarm. French windows open onto a terrace overlooking the pool whilst gates at the entrance to the courtyard provide privacy.
• Kitchen/Dining: The kitchen is fully equipped. There are masses of cupboards with an excellent range of utensils and equipment. Tea towels and supplies for washing dishes and clothes are also provided. The dining area is furnished with a solid oak table, 6 dining chairs and a high chair.
• Bedrooms: A corridor leads to the downstairs bedrooms: 1 double with French windows onto the terrace and 1 single bedroom with space for a cot. Upstairs there is a large double room, also with space for a cot and a second single bedroom. Beds have protective mattress covers, pillows, duvets, blankets and top quality bed linen.
• Bathroom: The bathroom has a corner bath with shower. There is a separate toilet on this floor and another toilet with hand basin on the ground floor. All towels are supplied – bath, hand and separate pool towels.
• Heating: The bedrooms all have electric radiators and the bathroom a heated towel rail.
• Garden: The extensive garden is gated for privacy, sheltered by trees and faces open farmland at the back. It’s fantastic for football, badminton and other outdoor games. The covered terrace, with table and chairs for al fresco dining, is close to the pool and offers shade. Around the pool are 4 sun loungers and 2 upright chairs.

Everything is included in the price although we reserve the right to charge extra for excessive use of electricity and firewood. There is always one cot in the cottage with a second available on request.

About Boisramier in Indre, Loire Valley

The cottage is in the southern Loire Valley at the far end of a peaceful hamlet overlooking farmland and surrounded by villages with restaurants, shops and local markets. There are 3 supermarkets open on Sunday morning within a short drive and a general store in the next village.

It is an ideal location for exploring the beautiful countryside as well as many attractions such as the historic towns of Bourges and Issoudun, the Haute-Touche animal reserve and the zoo at Beauval. Local oils are a speciality including walnut, hazelnut and rape seed. There are also plenty of local wines to taste, chateaux to visit and a donkey centre which is a great attraction for children and adults alike.

How To Get To Boisramier in Indre, Central France

The cottage is between Issoudun and Chateauroux and is well served by road, rail and air links.

• By road:  The A20, free from Vierzon, is the normal approach for those driving from the UK, Belgium and the Netherlands. The cottage is about a 25 minute drive from the motorway exit.
• By rail:  There are mainline stations at Chateauroux and Issoudun with fast trains to Paris. If you are arriving at Charles de Gaulle airport, the TGV train takes you direct from the airport to Chateauroux in just over 2 hours.
• By air:  The nearest airports are Limoges, Tours and Poitiers.
