This delightful detached property will comfortably sleep 8 in its 4 double bedrooms and is completely detached and not overlooked in any way. It is therefore very private and yet is only about a 10 minute walk into the Picasso made famous village of Ceret.

The property has the most amazing 360° views and with a gated entrance, it is fully enclosed so it is safe for families with young children.

There is a very private pool (8 by 4 meters) which boasts an infinity view. There is also a great sun terrace where sun loungers are provided.

The house has approx 260 sq mts of living space.

• The commanding entrance hall is 6m x 6m and 5m high and in it there is a 200 y/o antique conversational bench.
• The lounge is 9m x 7m and has separate sets of double patio doors onto the pool terrace. It is furnished with large sofas and armchairs and is equipped with a TV with some English TV channels, a DVD player and stereo. There is also a beautiful open fire which adds to the character.
• Separate W/C also on ground floor.

There is a grand oak staircase that takes you to the first floor where there are:

• 4 double bedrooms
• 2 bathrooms
• A study (5th bedroom)
• A separate W/C

All the bedrooms are bright, spacious and enjoy great views of the garden and pool. They are all fully furnished.

About Montbolo in Pyrénées-Orientales, Languedoc Roussillon

This distinctly Mediterranean area, where France meets Spain, has a wealth of diverse natural beauty and a rich gastronomic tradition. The majestic Pyrenees provide a backdrop to the entire area, whilst the plain of Roussillon stretches from mountains to sea where some of the longest and best sandy beaches in France can be found. In contrast, pretty coastal villages sit along the Cote Vermeille including Collioure and Port Vendres.

The wonderful climate provides over 300 days of sunshine a year with hot summers and mild winters yet the plain remains lush and produces the regions plentiful wines and wonderful fruits. A great climate, rich history and excellent access to the Mediterranean and the mountains make this a wonderful location for a holiday at any time of the year.

Nestled between the Pyrenees and the Plain of Rousillion are lovely villages and quiet hamlets enjoying the scenery and cool breezes their locations afford.

Perpignan, the cosmopolitan capital of Catalonia, with its mix of modern bustling city and charming old town and markets, is only 25 minutes away together with its historical Palace of the Kings of Mallorca. There are many first class restaurants and even more superb boutiques to be visited.

From Perpignan station the train to Barcelona takes 3-4 hours. However when the new TGV (France’s fast trains) route is finished, this will reduce to around an hour.

The coast from Perpignan southwards, hosts the popular resorts of Canet, St Cyprien and Argeles with their wide sandy beaches, nightlife, bars and restaurants. Where the sandy beaches sweep down to meet the rocky coves of the Vermillion Coast you will find the beautiful fishing village of Collioure, set beneath a Templar castle that is said to have inspired Fauvism. A few minutes more around the coast you will find the working port of Port Vendres where you have the opportunity to buy fish and seafood direct from the quayside trawlers.

The fascinating Cathar castles of Peryrepertuse and Querbus and the fortified towns and villages (Castelnou officially one of the most beautiful villages in France and a must visit is only a 25 minutes drive away), provide interesting places to visit and the Pyrenees can be explored from the famous Little Yellow Train, which runs from the beautiful fortified village of Villefranch de Confluent to Latourde Carol.

Visit the ski resorts at Font Romeu or Mont-Louis, winter or summer (1-1½ hours) and pass the Catalan landmark Mt. Canigou on the way.
