This light and spacious house with large garden is located in a pretty Pyrenean village and offers wonderful views of the mountains. Well placed for all mountain activities, the village of Arrens Marsous also offers extensive local commerce, swimming (summer only) and tennis. A perfect location from which to visit the world famous Sanctuaries Notre Dame de Lourdes.

The Village House is light and airy and has been recently decorated throughout. It comprises:

• Large hall
• Four bedrooms, two doubles, a single and a triple. There are two bedrooms on the first floor and two bedrooms on the ground floor.
• A bathroom
• A toilet
• A separate shower room
• The kitchen is newly fitted with a washing machine and tumble dryer. In the same large L shaped area there is
• A dining area and sitting area with small TV/ DVD player and lovely wood burning stove.
• There is a conservatory leading from the kitchen, which is large enough to dine in if required.

About the location

This delightful house is located in a quiet street in the village of Arrens Marsous. The village nestles right at the foot of the Col du Solour and from the house and garden you are surrounded by beautiful views of the Pyrenean moutains.

Arrens Marsous is packed with amenities to make your holiday more enjoyable. In terms of commerce there is a restaurant, a bar, a small supermarket, a pharmacy, a newsagent/souvenir shop/internet cafe, a shop selling local produce, two bakeries and a butchers. The English managers of this property are just along the road; they have lived in the village for many years and will be happy to help and advise in any way they can.

During July and August there is a large outdoor pool open actually within the village (three minutes walk from the house) tennis courts, mini golf and sports stadium. There is a tourist office situated in the village.

In July and August there is a weekly market in the village, outside these times there is a market at Argeles Gazost, about 10km away.

For the active types there are endless possibilites to hike or take a more gentle walk in the breathtaking countryside right on the doorstep of Arrens Marsous. The area is also a Mecca for road cyclists as well as boasting hundreds of kilometres of mountain bike tracks. The Tour de France always passes close to this area, often with a finish at the top of one of the famous cols nearby.

In the winter you will be ideally situated for skiing, with five ski stations within an hours drive of the village. Cross county skiing, sledging, snow shoeing and dog sleding are also close by.
