In the Cathar area in the village of Cailla, you will find the house. The village is small and is perched on a ridge between tributary valleys in the lower hills of the Pyrénnées. It affords superb panoramic views, peace and tranquility.

About the location

Cailla is not far from civilisation; after about a 3 km climb up from the river Aude and the main road between Quillan (approx. 14 km) and Perpignan (approx. 65 km) you will find this lovely village.

The ski stations are within an hour’s drive and during the summer there are lots of cultural and sporting events in the close area of Axat (6 km).

On the road to Carcassonne and Perpignan, you will find vineyards famous for the Languedoc-Roussillon vine.

How to get here

You can easily travel with Ryanair to the airports Girona (in Spain), Perpignan, Carcassone and Pau. From Girona there is an one and a half hour drive to Cailla, via Perpignan. From Perpignan and Carcassone there is an approximately a 50 minutes drive.

Just wanted to take a few moments to tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in France. Your house was fabulous -  just what we needed and a very comfortable and relaxing place for a holiday. We loved the views and had many relaxing meals on the terrace!!

There was so much to do and we covered many miles up into the mountains and down to the coast. The views from the castle at Puilauren were spectacular and well worth the climb!  Thank you for the wine on our arrival - it was much appreciated. Thank you once again.
